Make it Yours Monday~Love Fall

Hello my crafty friends and welcome back to another Make it yours Monday! This week, we are being inspired by our fabulous guest designer for the month, Jenn Gagne! As soon as I saw this layout of hers, I knew it was my inspiration piece! I love the circle element as well as the little corner accents to add some interest to the page!!! .

To begin, I took a piece of vanilla cardstock and misted it with Shimmerz Sunset Strip Vibes, Tattered Angels Pumpkin Spice and Chili mists and then took my art rag and rubbed them together to create the slightly ombre/blended background.

I placed my photo next, so it could help aid the placement of all the other elements later on. I added a torn piece of navy blue and gold glitter cardstocks as my photo mat. They complimented the colors in the photo so well!!  I also did my title next, so I could place it exactly where I wanted it, and could work around it with the embellishments later on.

My favorite part was creating the leaves, using one of the new, FREE cut files available in the shop, Lovely Leaves. I used my Brother Scan N Cut and several pieces of fall colored cardstocks to cut out multiples of each leaf design, and then used my versamarker and embossing powders to add details to the large ones and my favorite glue in my fineline bottle and glitter for the smaller leaf details. 

I situated the leaves around the page to mimick the circle element of Jenn’s layout, and added some of the newest sequin mixes in the shop, Aquarius and Peachy Keeny, to add even more dimension and texture as well as great pops of color!!

I added a few of the smaller leaves around my photo and my journaling to the left of the title, just under the photo.

To finish my page, I added some splatters to the leaf ring around the page, using the same colors I used for the background, as well as some Navy color shine. I mounted the entire layout on a piece of soft orange cardstock and added a doodle-y boarder around the edge to add some definition.

A few strips of nave and gold cardstocks to the top left and bottom right corner & the date finished off my fall wreath layout.

I got really excited when I saw the finished page!! It’s probably one of my most favorite layouts in a LONG time!! I hope you enjoyed my process and layout today and will stop by the shop for some of these amazing products!!!! When you do,
