Sketchin’ with Crafty Meggy
Hello SpiegelMom Scraps fans!! This is Megan and I am here today to share a layout I made with the sketch that Sara Scraps whipped up for this weeks challenge. I really loved this sketch and thought about doing a couple different things with it. In the end, I was inspired by a recent layout I watched Katty Miranda make for a new YouTube series. She used her Shimmerz Paints Mists to make a cute background and I wanted to do something along the same lines.
Here’s the sketch:
This is the layout I made.
I really loved the butterflies on the sketch, but I’m still in the process of setting up my scrap studio. It would’ve been way too much work for me to pull out my Silhouette, so I thought using the sprays would be a fun alternative.
One of my favorite things to do is to use a small glassine bag and fill it with sequins. I used the secret new Holiday Traditions sequin mix (it’s so new and secret that it isn’t in the store yet! 😉 lol).
I really love this cute photo of my middle son eating pudding when he was a toddler. He was a really messy eater! Isn’t it cute for toddlers to be messy eaters?!!
The sprays I used were Before Dawn Vibez, No Yoking Coloringz, and Bamboo Leaf Spritz. I thought these colors matched well with the colors of my sons shirt in the photo. I also used a little bit of Teal Me No Lies Texturez behind the photo.
I like the added texture that this doily gives the title cluster.
I also used the Chunky Stars from the shop to add neutral color to the cluster. I will do my journaling on this ‘Happy Dance’ 3×4 card before I stick it in my layout.
I am also thinking I might also do some hidden journaling and stick it in this cute little glassine bag.
I have a process video for this layout as well so I will be back a bit later to post that. You can keep an eye on my YouTube channel to see that. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’re having a great scrappy weekend!!
