Shine Layout with Katty Miranda

Hello friends! Happy First Day of Spring!  I am back with another 12X12 layout. I am scrapbooking a photo of myself which I don’t do very often. This layout was a lot of fun to make. I began by using a Heidi Swapp Floral stencil and a velum sheet. I used some of my Shimmerz from the Spiegelmom Scraps Shop in Coral me Crazy and Sour apple green. I blended in a bit of a Heiddi Swapp texture paste and Dylusions Bubble Gum pink spray to get a different shade on the flowers. I fussy cut the flowers and I use some foam squares to give them dimension. These flowers will sit underneath my photo. My tittle is Shine, I used a gold glitter foam word from the Maggie Holmes Shine Collection.

I then layered a few sheets of patterned paper also from the Maggie Holmes Shine Collection behind my photoI as well as a Gold Foil Doily peeking out on both sides of my photo. I then used a few mists with the packaging technique and created a fun mixed media background behind my photo. I used Heidi Swapp Color shine in Pink, Salmon, Cherry, Butter, Mustard and Gold. I also used a Lindys Stamp Gang Mist in Cosmopolitan Pink. Besides the packaging technique I added some splatters in a few of the same mists as well as black spatters with black India Ink. I matted the whole layout with a think black border and a 12×12 Yellow patterned paper also from the Shine Collection.

I did some simple embellishing I added three Flutter Cork Butterflies and I used some of the dark pink sequins from the Believe in You sequins Mix behind two of the butterflies. From the Believe in You sequins mix I also added a yellow sequin to 2 of my velum flowers. Finally some gold and black tangled thread in 2 areas finishes it off.
