Kobe by Evi
Hello Scrapbook friends! For this month, we have been playing with sketches each week. This weeks composition is structured with a circle element in the center with other embellishments. My layout stays close to the sketch this week. I am scrapping a photo of my Doxie, Kobe, at the dog park recently. I love taking him there to run around and play.
My background pattern paper came from a paper pad from Micheals called Mixed Media. It it a fabulous collection of distressed, mixed media, collage and stenciled background papers. Some have speciality featured like gold embossing, glitter details or texture.
I started out with white modeling paste and a circle stencil from Dina Wakely. I then used a weave stencil from Prima with 3D gloss gel and sprinkled brown glitter over it before it dried. Most people would have stopped there, but I added Black Lava paste through a polka dot stencil randomly around the page.
I drew the circles freely to resemble the sketch. I used a Zig vellum writer with a bold tip. I then layered my photo with glassine bags from the Spiegelmom Scraps store and a few dollies. I have the embellishment pack from Maggie Holmes’s Open Book that I layered heavily for the layout.
My added detail to the layout are confetti cork stars and sequins from Mocha Mint Dream. I love the added detail around the circle elements.
