Happy Birthday 2 You Layout with Katty Miranda
Hello friends! Katty Miranda here. I am sharing a 12×12 layout using the amazing Spiegelmom Scraps products. This week I am scrapbooking a black and white picture of my youngest son when he turned two. It’s an older picture, from 2009 to be exact. It’s a profile shot and even though it’s a bit blurry I absolutely love it. I began with a white cardstock. I pulled out my Spiegelmom Scraps White Lace Paper Doilies. I used some spray mists to color the doilies. I used Dylusions sprays in London Blue and Vibrant Turquoise and I used the Tim Holtz spray in Cracked pistachio. I colored half of each doily. To some I added a different color to the other half. Some I left white. I put those aside to dry. The shop now carries the Shimmerz Sprays which can be used to create the same effect. I then brought out a 12×12 Crafters Workshop stencil called Cosmic Bubbles. I used the Spiegelmom Scraps beautiful Shimmerz Dazzlers in the color Sea you in the morning. I added just a few circles in areas where I thought the’y show behind my doilies.
I then placed the doilies going down the center of the page diagonally. I added some glue to the center of the doilies where the two colors met and added Gold Stardust Sequins. I also scattered some of the Gold Stardust Sequins as well as sequins from the Believe in You Sequins and Magical Ocean Sequins.
I love the pretty sparkle the sequins add. I added a faux cork diagonal stripe border around the whole page. I added my tittle using a cut apart ephemera piece from the Finders Keepers Paper Pad and thickers from my stash. I wanted to bring in some more stars so I added 3 of the Chunky Cork Stars. A heart from my stash, blue tangled thread and black india ink splatters finish it off.

Thanks so much for spending some time with me today! XOXO -Katty
