A Scraplift and A Farewell
Hello my fellow scrapbookers! Todays post is bitter sweet for me. I had so much fun creating this layout, but it is the last layout I will be making as a design team member for Jody’s amazing company.
I have absolutely LOVED working with the products in the SpiegelMom Scraps shop. Jody is amazing at making the perfect combination of sequins in her mixes. Before I became a member of the team I was an enamel dot lover and didn’t really understand what you could do with sequins. That’s kind of silly, right?!! They’re the same shape and size as enamel dots, why can’t you use sequins like them?! Well, YOU CAN! Hah! I quickly fell in love with sequins and it has become an item that I have to have on every layout or it doesn’t feel done. One of the things that I have been drawn to lately is “random piles” of sequins. I used to only use a few enamel dots in each cluster, but for some reason with sequins I have to have at least 5, if not a lot more, for the cluster to feel complete.
Anyway, I’m rambling, mostly because I am sad not to be continuing on, but I have realized in my life that I just need some time to scrapbook just for me and no one else. Without further ado, here’s my layout:
I just love it!! The photos and all the colors are just so bright and fun. I started this layout using the American Crafts White Textured Cardstock.
This is the layout I am scraplifting. It’s actually an art journal page by Irit Landgraf:
Isn’t it gorngeous?!! You can watch her process video here.
I think I’ve said this before, but I just LOVE these Corky Cumulous clouds from the shop!! They’re so adorable!
I used the Mint Chocolate Chip and Gun Metal Grey sequin mix in each of the clusters and a silver doily as well.
Like I was saying earlier, I really love the look of piling my sequins. Isn’t it just so pretty?!! I will do my journaling on this Large shipping tag to the left of the bottom photos.
You can watch my process video below:
Thanks so much for stopping by!! If you make a purchase in the store you can use my code, Megan15, through the month of April. I hope you have enjoyed my layouts throughout this last 9 months!
