PL March Wk 1 – Live Today

The Monday after losing an hour of sleep is always a hard one.. I’m here today with a colorful spring spread hoping to brighten the first day of your work week!

I really love capturing the details of our home.. I wanted to incorporate some floral prints into this spread of the new flower arrangement in our kitchen. I used several papers from the Felicity Jane “Jane” March kit.. my first one. I made a deal with myself that if I were subscribing to a new kit, I would do a better job of incorporating products that I already have.

I have lots of Shimmerz products from the shop hanging out in my craft room. I chose this shade of green to add a little detail to my spread (like those dots highlighting the “photos I love” journaling card) and create an ombre filler card. I absolutely love using Acri-Tonez with water – it creates a water-color look that still has a matte-like finish! So great!

Do you have some shimmerz Acri-Tonez in colors you struggle to use? Try using it in combination with water for a water-color effect. It really softens the color!

I thought cork products were the perfect balance for this spread – the natural tones worked well with the pastel color palette! I used arrows and hearts from the shop.

I love the layering of sequins (this mix!) on cork – and the staple just adds some whimsy! Fun fact, I keep forgetting to order tiny staples for my tiny AC stapler, so those are full sized staples.. HA. Also on my page are thickers from Amy Tangerine’s “Finders Keepers” and Dear Lizzy “Saturday” collections.

I really like how the page on the right looks without any pictures, really functioning as a pretty title page. Especially since the left side is so full of color.
