Happy 4th Card with Katty Miranda

Hello friends. Katty Miranda here. Today I am sharing a simple 4th of July Card. This was so simple to create and I love the end result. I began with a black cardstock base. I used one of the beautiful new July release sequin mixes called Magical Day in the Park. This mix is perfect for fourth of July because the sequins are Red White and Blue. I created some rows of sequins coming in from the left side of the card. The idea was for them to look like fireworks. I alternated the red and blue ones. I also added the white stars to the ends.

I punched out a few big stars with a Martha Stewart layered star punch and used those on the right side of the card. I also used some Heidi Swapp white chipboard thickers ans painted them with a Dylusions mist in London Blue. The thickers have embossed diagonal stripes so when I colored them with my mist the lines have a resist effect. I love how they turned out.
