Birthday Shaker Card with Katty
Hello friends! Katty Miranda here to share a fun Shaker Birthday Card. This card might look familiar. I created a similar one for a Spiegelmom Scraps Blog Hop not too long ago. I was asked if I had a process video and unfortunately I did not. This time I did record my process. The video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFNIVKrYb4w. The card was also made for someone very special, the Spiegelmom Scraps owner Jody. Her birthday was actually yesterday. I did send it to her and I hope she loves it!
I began by cutting out a scallop background in a 6×6 size from my Silhouette Cameo. I added a sheet of acetate and some foam mounting tape behind my cut file. I colored some of the little scallop inserts using my Shimmerz Dazzlers in Coral me Crazy, Tutti Frutti and Pucker up Pink. I also used a tiny Stampendous alphabet stamp set to stamp out my sentiment. I glued all of the colored inserts and the stamped sentiment behind the acetate as well. I also used the foam mounting take to create 5 separate shaker areas. I then filled my shaker areas with some beautiful sequins from the Spiegelmom Scraps shop. I used the Pink Lagoon, Peachy Sherbet , Fairytale 2, and the Glass Slippers.
Finally, I mounted the shaker area on a white 6×6 base. I love how it turned out. I love the delicacy of the cut file and I wanted to keep the card simple and elegant. I really hope Jody loves it.
Thanks so much for stopping by. XOXO – Katty
