Clique Kits Blog Share ~ Masquerade Ball!
Hello everyone! You should have arrived here from Gia’s blog where I’m sure you totally adored her project! If you’re joining me here first, you can find the entire line-up on the Clique Kits Blog HERE!!
This month’s challenge was based off of this quote
I am so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers–L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
Isn’t that beautiful! The challenge for this month is create a project about or tell everyone what you’re grateful to live a world where there are Octobers! In our home, Octobers are filled with kids soccer games, Packers football games on Sundays, warm comfort foots, time with our family and lots of holiday prep!! All of which I’m very blessed to have in my life!
Now for today, I created two layouts for this Pep Rally with my Masquerade Ball kit and some of the add-ons from the Clique Kits store. My extra products outside my kit include the fabulous Basic Grey Second City Feathers {designed by the one and only Kelly Purkey}, Simple Stories Frankie and Friends Enamel Dots, Jillibean Soup Yam Yellow Beanboard and the Fair Trade Silk Strips of Recycled Sari Cloth.
Here’s my first layout! I pulled out Hannah’s 4K picture from her first day. It’s amazing how much she’s changed in only two days!! One of my favorite elements is the Fair Trade Sari Cloth I used to create a circular flower embellishment to balance out the other two circles on my layout. I did this by using a white cardstock circle as the base and stapling the Sari Cloth to the center first. Then, I began twisting the Sari Cloth around in a loose circle, outward from the center while tacking it down with a few random staples with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. It’s a pretty each technique to do actually. Grab some Sari Strips and try it out!! You can also made some cute handmade flowers for headbands or barrettes using a metal or plastic base and hot glue!!
The other two circles were made with one of the Second City stickers and plain white cardstock circle topped with the fun Jillibean Yam Yellow Beanboard. I just love this Jillibean alphas! They totally rock and there a ton of them in one package!!
For my next layout I started with a sheet of yellow textured cardstock from American Crafts and then chose the very bold Second City paper with all those fun houses!! I pulled a few of our Disney photos from Epcot in March and I just love these photos of our little girls playing these awesome bongos! I used lots of the fabulous Second City stickers and those funky feathers and the Simple Stories Frankie and Friends enamel dots. I also used the thin sticker frame and added it right onto Abby’s picture… it really POPS off the page!
These Second City feathers and just fabulous! You can bend them up and really make them 3 dimensional. The package contains a variety of sizes in cardstock and vellum ~ Score!! I also added foam adhesive and popped up a few of the ephemera pieces and stickers.
Ok my friends, thank you for spending your time with us today!! I hope you enjoy the entire Clique Kits Pep Rally today. It’s going to totally rock with all the Second City inspiration today. To check out some more Masquerade Ball inspiration on my blog you can also check out this post HERE.
