Fuse It Fun Day- First Day Sillies
Hey everyone! I’m back with my Fuse tool this week! And in keeping with the 90’s theme, I bring you “gettin’ corky wit it”!
Yep, that was a terrible Will Smith reference! Haha! I realized recently that I scrapped my son’s first day of school photos, but not the “outtakes”! I really wanted to capture how silly he was being! I started with a naked tree cut file, and created leaves with cork embellishments. The tree on the right uses the Corky Cumulus embellies as leaf clusters. The tree on the left uses the Cork Confetti Hearts as the leaves! I contemplated painting the cork, but I went with the natural look because it reminded me more of Fall.
After I had the trees figured out I wanted to make a little school house. I created this cut file from free clip art. Once I layered each patterned paper, I fused little pockets of Gold Stardust Sequins for each of the windows on the back of the school house. The stardust sequins are probably my most favorite because they are so versatile and can be used on just about every project! For this layout I just love how they make the school shine!
Some Cloudy Days Felties finished off this little scene perfectly!
I absolutely love how this came out, it is quirky (and corky) and fun, really capturing my son’s personality! I hope you enjoyed it too!
Be sure to save some money when you stop by the scrappy store, and I would love to see how you “get corky wit it!” 🙂
