What about Wednesday Layout with Katty Miranda
Hello friends! Katty Miranda here for another What about Wednesday. Today I am focusing on cut files. Cut files are a great way to add interest to any layout. There are so many fonts and designs available that the possibilities are endless. We are very lucky to have Khristina Sorge on our team. She is creating free, yes free cut files available for you to download every month. Take a look at this months awesome cut files. You can download the free cut file here: http://spiegelmomscraps.com/sparklers-unite-dt-blog-hop/
I used the Summer word and cut it out multiple times on American Crafts White Textured Cardstock. As a background I chose a blue hombre patterned paper from the Pink Paislee Fancy Free Paper Pad. I am scrapbooking a 4×91/2 panoramic photo of Hanauma Bay in Oahu Hawaii from our recent summer vacation. I lined up the photos and the cut files vertically on the page. For the open cut files I used 6×6 paper pads from my stash to back the openings. I chose patterned papers in the blue and green tones. The regular cut words I covered in beautiful Sequins.
For the word on top I used the small flat back blue sequins from the Magical Day in the Park mix. For the bottom word I used the blue sequins from the Raspberry Daisy Dream mix and the Green ones from the Mermaids Tale mix. I added a bit of color behind the cut files using a Tim Holtz stencil and the beautiful Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Lemon Drop.
To finish my tittle I used some tine letter stickers from my stash and added them underneath the last cut file at the bottom. I also added a yellow die cut that says Hello from my stash.
These are the products I used from the shop today. Not photographed is the Shimmerz Dazzlerz in Lemon Drop.
There is a process video on my YouTube Channel if you’d like to watch: https://youtu.be/rcKrajbcPL8
Thanks so much for stopping by. XOXO- Katty
