Tuesday’s Talent with Kelly Barron

Hello Sparklers! I’m Kelly Barron, and I’m the guest designer for the month of October. Today I’m sharing with you the first layout that I created this month featuring the Sweet Summer Vibes sequin pack and the Summer Lights collection by Pink Paislee. I used a free cut file from the Paper Issues store and backed it with patterned paper, and then machine stitched around the heart in silver thread.

The sequins in this pack are gorgeous and perfect for this collection. I chose to make a sequin frame around my photo which really plays up on the title “Electric Love”. There are several different ways that I have adhered sequins to my layouts. For the frame I adhered red line tape around the edges of the photo, and then pressed the sequins down onto the adhesive. This works amazingly well for flat sequins, and it made adhering them down so easy.

The smile emoji was punched out from the specialty paper in the collection. I’m always on the lookout for these types of papers because they really do help stretch your collection with ephemera.
