Scrapbooking with Karla – Baby It’s Not Too Cold Outside!

Hi friends! Karla here with an exciting start to November!! There are lots of things going on this month, and some amazing brand new sequins to share in the SpiegelMom Scraps shop!! You can see a peek of all the sequin in Jody’s post yesterday. Our theme this month is circles and sketches – so you’re going to see lots of ways to use both of those things! And, we have new FREE cutfiles so there is so much inspiration to get creating!! Today, I’m using two of the beautiful new sequin mixes – Happy Happy Winter and Birthdays and Balloons to create this fun, wintery layout. I’m following the sketch shown at the bottom of the page. I really love how it turned out with the square photos on top of the large circles. I used a circle cutter tool from my stash and the Simple Stories Life In Color collection. It’s not a winter themed collection, but I loved the bright colours and how they looked with my photos.

The snowflake diecuts are one of the new free SMS cutfiles this month. I used my Cricut Explore to size the whole sheet of snowflakes – they’re awesome!! and added them to my layout after coating them with Emerald Creek Winter’s Mistake embossing powder. It’s such a fun powder using a combination of glitter and embossing powder!

I used the same embossing powder on the title, but I diecut blue cardstock with another of this month’s cutfiles, and I added some of the lovely Hunter Green Burlap String from the SpiegelMom Scraps Shop.

The cut apart sheet in the Simple Stories pack was just right for adding my journaling. I added some foam dots to pop up some of the coordinating sticker elements and some Glossy Accents to highlight certain areas of the paper like the printed paper clip below.
