Make It Yours Monday~ Sweet Everyday Moments

Hello Scrappy Friends and welcome back for another Make It Yours Monday! This week, we are being inspired by our October Guest Designer, Kelly Barron!! I was drawn to this beautiful, soft layout she created for Citrus Twist.

I began my layout with a piece of white cardstock trimmed down a 1/4″ all around and Tutti Frutti Dazzlerz. I used a stiff bristle brush and the dazzlerz as paint. The bristles of the brush in the texture paste created a great, textured brushstroke look.

While the dazzlerz were drying, I matted my photo on 2 patterned papers, one in a pink and the other in a blue, to tie in the colors in the photo. I added a delicate doily to the back for some more texture. I layered strips of pink floral and blue polka dotted papers for the right hand side of the page.

When the dazzlerz were dry, the photo was adhered with foam tape to the center of the painted area. I chose some floral ephemera and layered them around the bottom of the picture. popping some up on foam tape as well. I layered a tag and other ephemera pieces under the photo as additional layers, and a Blessed banner to the top left corner. Tiny tile stickers and more ephemera pieces created my title.

I created another cluster in the bottom right corner with the camera and floral pieces and added a tiny word sticker. The Morning Glow sequin mix was the perfect mix to add the right about of sparkle and shine to the page. I matted the entire layout on a light pink cardstock and stitched around the edges. My journaling fit perfectly in the flower clusters under the photo and all that was left was some splatters. I used Razzledazzle Berry and Blue Jeans Vibez to create them and I was finished!
