Big Title Challenge with Crafty Meggy

Hello my SpiegelMom Scraps fans!! I am excited to be here today to share this fun winter layout I made to showcase one of the new sequin mixes in the shop, Classic Cozy. I absolutely LOVE this mix and definitely need to buy at least one or 2 more because it will be a favorite of mine for sure!! Anything with snowflakes is a must since we live in Idaho!!

Over in the 15 Minutes to Scrap facebook group Rachel has challenged us to use a big title this month. I really love the look of big titles and decided to use one of the foam word thickers, ‘Cherish’, from the ‘Fancy Free’ collection.

I used the ‘Cherish’ word as part of the title and then the ‘Alyx’ Alpha for the rest.

I had the background paper in my stash from a few years ago and it was pre-decorated with the north pole sign and even a reindeer and Santa. I didn’t want Santa or the reindeer to show so I cleverly placed my photo in that area.

For the top part of the layout I thought it would be fun to use some blue bakers twine glued in random places and lengths and then put the snowflakes and other sequins along the twine. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it all that much, but it turned out better than I thought! Don’t you love it when that happens?!

I really love the colors in this sequin mix!!

I wanted to embellish a little bit on the photo and next to it so I cut out this cute little ‘snow day’ tag and glued down some sequins.
