Scrapbooking With Karla – Scraplifting Katty Miranda!
Hello friends! It’s Karla here today with another awesome Scraplift! I am really loving the scraplifting theme this month. I’m finding new techniques and ideas that I wouldn’t normally have tried without scraplifting someone. This week the Design Team is scraplifting the awesome Katty Miranda! She’s so amazing!!
Here’s a look at her layout that I used to base my scrapbook page on-
And, here’s what I created! I loved the diecut circle background, so I used the Kaisercraft Wildflower paper and Kaisercraft Nesting Stitched Circle Dies. I used some to cut the outside as well as the inside and used both the back and front side of the circles. This paper is so gorgeous, it’s sometimes hard to decide which side to use! I used one of the coordinating circle sticker elements ‘You Are Perfect” as a title, popped up with foam dots.
I used my sewing machine and stitched along both the top and bottom of my layout, alternating a couple different zigzag stitches with a straight stitch. I love the texture stitching adds!
The Tim Holtz Botanical ephemera was just perfect to add to this layout about my daughter at the Calgary Zoo where a butterfly landed on her hand. I used tacky glue and some foam dots to arrange the flowers and butterflies in a diagonal arrangment. I love the watercolour butterfly sticker that came in the Wildflower paper pack, and added it along the bottom of the layout with a couple strips of paper and a branding strip.
The gorgeous flower sequins in the Jaded Hearts and Wild & Free Sequin Mixes made a lovely little trail for the pretty butterfly. I used some Glossy Accents to adhere them to the page, and I love the dimension they add!
Here’s a closeup of the beautiful sequin mixes I’ve used today – Jaded Hearts and Wild & Free! The Wild & Free was actually created to coordinate with the Kaisercraft Wildflower papers <3
