Spotlight Sparkler: Danni Visser
Hi Sparklers! Danni here, super excited to share my first layout as the Spotlight Sparkler for January. I still have a lot of my Cocoa Vanilla Studio Happiness collection left, and the bright colours were exactly what I wanted to make my black and white photo stand out.
I wanted to go with a wreath-style circular design, so I first added some texture with some white machine stitching, some Gina K Glitz Glitter gel through a star stencil and lots of splatters with my Tim Holtz distress oxides in Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire, making sure to keep everything tight to the wreath design. I created some embellishments using some layered stars cut from patterned papers, inked some wood veneer stars and included some clear crystal stars as well.
The Spiegelmom Scraps sequin mixes used on this layout are Holiday Magic and Vintage Dowry – I added lots of the flat glitter, light blue and navy-blue sequins from Holiday Magic and the pale blue and a few pink ones from Vintage Dowry, again keeping everything within the circular shape. The sequins were the perfect thing to fill in all the gaps in my wreath and add lots of pretty sparkle!
I kept the rest of the layout simple, some interesting paper layers behind my photo and a short title. I sprinkled in a few extra sequins on the bottom corner of my photo and around my title to tie everything together. I just love how this layout turned out. Thank you for joining me today!
