Hello everyone! I cannot believe October has finally arrived! Here in Southeastern Wisconsin the weather is turning cooler and Fall is in the air, which I love! I also absolutely adore my guest designer this month, Amy Lee aka The Craft Bunny! We ‘met’ through Etsy and I’m so happy we did. Amy’s YouTube channel is lovely and growing more and more every week. Hi there! My name is Amy Lee. I am the October Guest Designer for SpiegelMomScrapShop. I have a YouTube channel called TheCraftBunny. This is actually my VERY FIRST time in a Guest Design Team and I am so EXCITED!
Today, I am sharing an anime inspired card featuring some awesome sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. I have always loved anime as a child. Their screen effects were extremely glamorous and very pretty. So in this project, I decided to channel my favorite anime memories into card making.
To start off, I stamped my Gorjuss Girl image in black, paper pierced her dress and then colored the rest with my color pencils. To make her even more realistic, I added a magic circle image from Google Images. I also made her a magic wand using a painted toothpick and some embellishments in my stash.
The card front background was created using pink, yellow and lavender acrylic paints. Then I adhered the focal point of my card using foam tape and hot glue. Then, I embellished the card using some mulberry paper flowers and sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. To match the color scheme, I used sequins from Silver Sunrise Mix, Moonshine Delight, Gold Rush and Sunny Days. I love adding in elements from the same color family to add fullness to my project.
