Let’s Get Sketchy “Door County” w/ Sarah

Hello again, SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog today with another fun 8.5×11 layout using this gorgeous sketch from Let’s Get Sketchy!  Here is the sketch:

I still have a tiny bit of my Maggie Holmes Gather and Simple Stories Reset Girl Collections.  I also have just a couple more photos from our Door County summer vacation to document.  Here is my take on the sketch:

I stared by trimming down a 12×12 piece of American Crafts White Textured Cardstock down to 8.5×11.  Then I grabbed the last few scraps of my Gather and Reset Girl papers and got started!  I used my EZ Runner Grand to adhere strips of ripped patterned paper down, following the sketch.   I also added a Medium Glassine Bag filled with Mocha Mint Dream sequin mix and a few Gold Heart Confetti Sequins.  I only used the top half of the bag and sewed the top and bottom shut using my sewing machine.

I aslo sewed a line using my sewing machine and gold thread to make a line to accent my title.  I used some old Moonlight Thickers from my stash for the title.  I tucked a WRMK Typecast tag under the title.  I added a Cork Confetti Heart under a heart sticker from Gather.  I added a good splatter of Heidi Shine in Gold and a few enamel dots and gems.

I used a jumbo gold paper clip and a tassle from Gather to add dimension to the Medium Glassine Bag filled with sequins.  I added a sticker from the Gather sticker sheet and a few tiny word stickers.

I added a few strips of ripped paper and half of a White Paper Lace Doily to the top of the page and added more stitching.  I finished off the top cluster with a fun chipboard element from Gather.
