Earthy Tones & No Title (Oops!)

I absolutely love sharing my creations online – what a blessing to have such a supportive community of crafters who share in our creative accomplishments! Thank you to everyone who supports myself, my fellow DT members, and SpiegelMom Scraps!

Recently, I’ve run across a little problem. I honestly can’t keep up with the amount of gorgeous product releases from the shop. I truly want to incorporate everything and I just can’t. But I’ll keep trying – and Saturday we’ll have even more products available to us. So stay tuned for that!This layout came together inspired by the coffee shop where this picture was taken, in downtown Greenville, SC. I got to spend the day with some friends who I hadn’t spent much time lately – so good! Anyway, I was so excited with how the layout came together that I completely forgot to add a title. And didn’t notice until I was saving edited images from Lightroom onto my computer – I realized there was no name to name a folder. Oops!

To begin, I spritzed some Shimmerz Vibez onto a plain olive background. I stamped a few triangles also and once that dried, I began layering my scraps. I included a frame, vellum, and Pink Paislee C’est La Vie ephemera from my stash. I glued and stitched and added my picture matted on white cardstock. Once I had my layering the way I wanted, I tucked a silver foil doily underneath my picture to finish it off.I stitched a “3” over top of it and added some wood veneer pieces for some additional texture. One of my favorite things to do with sequins is to individually stitch them onto my projects. I love the effect this has when I have the patience to do this! The exclusive sequin mix Evergreen Bough coordinates perfectly with my page! I finished off my project with a few stitched scraps at the top. Sometimes I’m happiest with my projects when I don’t use perfectly matched pieces from collections. This was one of those.
