Make It Yours Monday

Welcome back to another Make It Yours Monday with SpiegelMom Scraps!!! I hope you guys enjoyed the amazingly awesome Triple Blog Hop and all the incredible projects that were shared!

Today, I have a layout inspired by a heart shaped tag from my daughters new sneakers and a layout that I found on pinterest. I wanted to combine the 2 and was very happy with the finished page! (I want to apologize for the lighting of my photo’s, but a tropical storm stole the sun and I had to take them inside!)

The only Patterned paper I used for this layout was from the Fancy Free collection. I used the soft mint for the foundation, the peachy pink for the mid section and a bit of yellow, mint and peach to make the banners in the top right corner. I added some gold scallop washi tape to secure the banners. After I notched out a half circle, I added my journaling on a shipping tag and tucked it behind the layout in a pocket.

For the mid section of the layout, I made a shaker tag out of another shipping tag and filled it with Spring Blooms Sequins and Gold Confetti Sequins. I added some doodles to the boarder to keep it from getting lost. I adhered a White Doily doily and layered the shaker tag and my photo over top.

A journaling card serves as my title and a few more doodles pulled the shaker, journaling and the title card together. I sprinkled some of the sequins around the page to bring some sparkle around each section! The scalloped washi tape finished off the middle part and I also brought a piece to the bottom left corner to dress is up a bit, along with some sequins. A few splatters of Gold Color Shine and I was Done!
