Hello my scrappy friends!  I’m sharing my last layout using up nearly all of my November Clique Kit, Homecoming.  I used the pretty floral background from Lemon Owl and added a pretty pink ink to the edges from Close To My Heart. Yes, that is a lot of pink…. but think about what it would look like on a boy page in blue, yellow or gray!  Doesn’t that look cool!  

Next, I wanted to tone down the middle of the paper so I added some Gesso by painting across the section I wanted dulled down.  After letting it dry, I began adding some layers of papers I had left over from other layouts.  When I was finished adding my layers, I decided to add some more inking in the form of masking!  I used these fabulous gold leaf stickers from Pretty Little Studio and included in the Homecoming Kit!  They are awesome!  To use them as a mask I stuck my finger on the back a few times to reduce some of the stickiness then put them onto my page where I wanted to use them as a mask.  After doing so, I used my Tim Holtz ink blending tool to rub the ink over the stickers, pealed them off and ta-da!!  You can do this with any type of sticker in your stash!!

Here are some more close ups for you!  At the angle below you can really see the gold leaves and the masked areas on the layout.  This is a great way to add more visual interest to your layout or even a card without adding a lot of extra embellishments.
