Making Halloween Home Decor From File Folders

File folders??  YES, file folders!  You just need to see them, then I’ll talk about them.

So… I’m on Express Kit duty this month for Memory Works.  Hopefully you stopped by last week for my Quick & Cute Halloween Cards post.  If not, click on the highlighted link to go there when you’re done.

For this project I used your regular sized file folders, only these were already orange and black.  You can easily paint or cover manilla ones with black cardstock or Halloween papers instead!!

Although my Express Kit was full.. I mean PACKED with an assortment of Halloween papers, I stuck with the My Minds Eye Blackbird theme for this project.  The kit also included the matching stamps.  See those cute spiders on the bottom tier.. YUP stamps!!

I used my go-to banner shapes, some bling from Michael’s Craft Store (HALLOWEEN), felt vines and pumpkins and left trees from Pebbles to complete my spooky, but welcoming, Halloween home decor!  Since I can’t put holes in my walls in our rental house, I used some black and orange plaid ribbon from May Arts to hang it from the blank half-wall where our stairs up to the second floor.  It works great to just masking tape the ribbon to the top of the banister so no one sees it. Well, now you know my dirty little secret, so SSHHHH!  LOL.

I’ll be back again soon for the Memory Works Fall Blog Hop on Tuesday!!  Be here so see the latest scrapbooking goodies available throught Memory Works NOW!!!

TTFN!
