Birthday Card

Hi there ladies!  This beautiful weather is making me extra cheery :-).  I wanted to share a couple things with you before this weekend.  First is the birthday card I made for our nephew Logan.  He’s such a great kid and he and our Rachel are good buddies!  I used American Crafts paper and cardstock, my Sizzix Texture Boutique for the embossed stars on the green shimmer cardstock and ‘happy birthday’ that covers the AC Star paper background.  I used my Versa Color cats eye chalks to lightly rub over one of the embossed Happy Birthdays to highlight it, Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby) letter stickers and numbers and finished it off with the bakers twine tied around the star paper.

The second thing I wanted to share was a layout about Logan himself in honor of the birthday boy!!

I used some paper I won during a Memory Works Challenge, flowers from the June 2010 MW Express Kit, Tim Holtz Adage Tickets, canvas that I cut, stamped and sprayed with Perfect Pearls by Ranger and a circle punched from an old Dictionary that includes the word and definition for “Outdoors”.  Who says you can’t put flowers on a boy page, lol!!

Enjoy this great weather and watch for some blog prizes coming up in June!

Happy Scrappin’!
Jody
