I love to try new things in paper crafting, especially when I’ve seen what other crafters have created. Watercolor has been around ever since I can remember, starting as a young child in elementary school. Now, watercolor and other paints have made their way into our world of scrapbooking!! Yay!! I absolutely LOVE this technique & versatile craft medium!  When I opened my Etsy shop 5 years ago I wanted to carry products I love, so it only made sense that I now carry Shimmerz Paints!!  Here’s my first layout with Dazzlerz dimensional paint!!  I used Gummy Berry Blue! Isn’t that a super fun name for this bright blue?! Love!

I started with American Crafts white card stock and  used a Dear Lizzy 4×6 card as a stencil to create my title. I did this by temporarily adhering the stencil onto my card stock with washi tape, then scraping some Dazzlerz over the top of it. I love how far I can stretch my papers and other embellishments by adding paint to my layout.

 In order to get the square shaped texture with the Dazzlerz, I used a piece of mesh I have in my mixed media supplies drawer. I simply pressed it into the Dazzlerz that I brushed into my layout, lifted it and then stamped the mesh down onto another area of my layout for a fun mixed media element on my layout!! I added a few simple embellishments to finish off my layout, which only took 35 minutes to create (not including the drying time of the Dazzlerz).  I added the swirls of red bakers twine with small dabs of Aileene’s Tacky Glue.
