Shake It Monday with Sarah

Hello everyone and happy Leap Day!  Welcome to my very first “Shake It Monday!”  The last Monday of every month I will do a video on the SMS Youtube channel focusing on how to use the beautiful sequins in the shop!

I wanted to make an 8.5×11 layout that had the look of a shaker card and had the feeling that it was made with a Silhouette.

Snuggle Up

I used a 12×12 piece of patterned paper from Crate Paper Hello, Love and cut it down to 8.5×11.  I cut a piece of textured white card stock to 8×10.5.  I cut a piece of the same white card stock to about 2×8 and punched 3 hearts out of it.  I created a void with fun foam and used a piece of page protector to hold the sequins in.

I glued it all down and started embellishing!  I used half of a White Paper Doily and an Amy Tangerine Wood Veneer Frame under the picture.  I also added a Medium Shipping tag.

I love the Forever Love Cork Hearts because they are self-adhesive and a just the right size!  I layered up this cork heart with a hand-punched glitter heart.

I also used white, light pink and medium pink Birds Of A Feather Fealties! I added a few splatters of Heidi Swapp Color Shine and stamped a couple of times with a phrase stamper and I was done!

Be sure to watch the video on Youtube and tune in the last Monday of the month to catch every installment of “Shake It Mondays!”
