Shake It Monday with Sarah

Hello SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog today with a Pocket Life layout and a process video!  Today I am showing you something a little different than my normal Shake It videos.  I have shown you a bunch of different ways to make a shaker pocket on PL and 8.5×11 layout.  But there are many, many more ways to use the awesome sequin mixes from the SMS shop!

The end of January is a busy time for my family.  Both of my girls’ birthdays fall in the last week of January.  I had so many fun pics of birthday event, I had to do a continued  Week 5.  I used Pretty Little Studio Wonderland collection and a bunch of goodies from the SMS shop.

For this spread I used the large Moonshine Delight Sequins to embellish, just like you would normally use large (expensive) enamel dots.  Here is a close up of my title card.  I cut a piece of pink vellum on a diagonal and stitched it onto my card.  I sed a Medium Shipping Tag and layered on a die cut glitter snowflake.  I embellished with a few Superstar Cork Stars and a couple of enamel dots and gems.

I half of a Gold Foil Doily to add dimension behind a 3×4 picture on a 4×6 card.  I added a few journalling strips that I typed on my typewriter.

I also used a White Paper Lace Doily and layered on the die cuts, ephemera, paper clips and once again I embellished with a large Moonshine Delight Sequin and enamel dots and gems.

I had a cute 3×4 filler card that I splattered with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Blush and added another Moonshine  Delight Sequin and an enamel heart and gem.

I like to use the same elements on both sides of a PL layout to keep it looking cohesive.  Here, I used the other half of the same Gold Foil Doily and embellished it similarly as the card on the other side.

I repeated the diagonally cut pink vellum from my title card to make a filler card.  I created a pocket for a Medium White Shipping tag and embellished with a tiny word ephemera, and a die cut snowflake.  Once again, I embellished with a Superstar Cork Star and Moonshine Delight Sequins.

Here is another 4×6 card with a 3×4 picture on it.  I like to make cards like this because it give me the opportunity to add MORE embellishments.
