Scraplift Sunday with Crafty Meggy: Yard Helpers

Hello my scrappy friends! This is Megan and I’m up today with a scraplift layout. I found this layout on pinterest and fell in love with it!

I have a huge thing for banners. I don’t know what it is but I really love using them on my layouts. I thought all these banners on the layout above would be fun to incorporate into a layout.

This is the layout I made with the inspiration from the original. I am really happy with how it turned out! I love the cute cork butterflies which you can find in the shop here.

I also used one of the new sequin mixes, Mocha Mint Dream. I love the mint green color with the browns in the pack.

I thought putting the sequins in a line along the banners looked really nice and the cork butterflies above and below the banners on the right side of the layout added some nice texture.

I wanted the banners to stand out so I inked the edges with Close to my Heart Sapphire ink.

These cork butterflies are probably my favorite part of the layout. I don’t know how you are, but I have a hard time using things like butterflies and flowers on my layouts because I have all boys and I feel like they aren’t as masculine.

We’re selling our house so I spent some time planting new flowers and felt that butterflies and flowers worked well together. So, yay! I was able to use them on a layout.
