Scraplift Sunday with Crafty Meggy: Hello Happy Lilac

Scraplift Sunday

Hello and Happy Sunday!! This is Megan here to share my very first post for SpiegelMom Scraps. I am so excited to share this layout with you using some awesome products from the store!!

I thought it would be fun to do a weekly Scraplift on the Sundays that I post and for this first one I picked a layout I saw on pinterest posted by D’lish Scraps and made by Sue Plumb.

I absoluetly loved the layers and mixed media! It’s so gorgeous!

Here’s my layout with all of my little tweaks and personality thrown in:

I really love how it turned out! I wanted to make it my own layout so instead of using a stencil on the background I decided to use my purple Amethyst Heidi Shine and the packaging technique with some water.

I love this photo of a dog we had a long time ago. There was a little space to the right of the photo so I decided to put the title there and one of my embellishment clusters. Behind the photo I have a medium glassine bag that I spread ‘I Lilac You’ Dazzlers paste onto to get a cool effect on. I layered a 6×6 pattern paper from the Fancy Free collection behind that and then a large glassine bag that I spread ‘Coral me Crazy’ Dazzlers onto. I really like the texture the Dazzlers add to the bags!

I really wanted to use these Birds of a Feather Felties and I really liked the long skinny one that I decided to use to help ground my title. I clustered the others around and layered them on top of each other.

In each of the 3 clusters I put a little bit of twine from my Citrus Twist Kit that I used for this layout as well as yellow and pink sequins from the Hot Right Now Sequin mix, the cute little pink flowers from the Raspberry Daisy Dream sequin mix and in the cluster above I also included 3 hearts from the Hearts on Fire sequin mix.

My third cluster I put up in the top right hand corner with a cluster of banners and tags as well as sequins, a felt feather and a resign word piece.
