Pocket Pal Letter with GD Renee Joy!

Hi there, scrappy friends… I hope your week is off to a good start. This week I thought I would do something a bit different.  I thought it would be fun to create a pocket letter.  It’s kind of like pocket page scrapbooking and a letter all in one.  Big thanks to Heidi Swapp and Janette Lane for their page inspiration. I bet some of you have already tried it.  I am liking it a lot and can’t wait to do more.  Let me share this one with you!

I really had a good time selecting paper and embellishments for this project. SpiegelMom Scraps was just perfect for this!! I know that you will love these goodies just as much as I do!! Since this pocket letter is being given to someone really special, I wanted to describe her in the best way I could. I think this pic is a good start….love those doilies!!

Oh, by the way, I am giving this letter to my daughter. She has seen the layout; so far, she does not suspect a thing. Here’s hoping I can pull this off 😉  I hid a little note in the doily that you see in the middle below. I just had to remember not to glue it shut 🙂

I loved how the words on the paper fit perfectly for my daughter. This next photo does just that and gave me a chance to to leave a little sentiment, too!

I thought it would be cool to share some of my goodies with her so I created a pocket from a tag….I filled it with hearts and stars; then, I sealed it with washi tape so nothing would spill out. Yes, I stuffed it! Oh, if it looks like there is a bit too much washi on the tag that’s because I wanted to share. That is what I love about washi tape….it lifts right off! It comes in really handy when you want to keep your sequins and confetti in the pockets, too. Washi creates a great seal.

When you are ready to send off your pocket letter, it will fit nicely inside of a regular legal size envelope unless you stuffed it like I did. You can also put goodies in the pockets, too 🙂

Here are the goodies I enjoyed using:

Paper-Heidi Swapp and Craft Smith
Black Sequins
Gold Confetti
Silver Confetti
Doilies
Washi Tape
Hearts
Tag
Stars

It is so much fun visiting SpiegelMom Scraps. Thank you again, Jody!!

Have a great week everyone. ‘See you next week 🙂

Happy Scrapping,

Renee Joy
