Pocket Life Volume 2 2016 Title Page

Hello SMS fans, it’s Sarah on the blog today with a tricky topic: title pages!  There are no rules!  They can be what ever you want!  I like to use up extra supplies when making my title pages and last pages in my Pocket Life albums.  So, today I am sharing my title page from my 2016 volume 2!  Here it is:

I used my leftovers from Maggie Holmes Bloom and Pink Paislee C’est La Vie.  And, of course, a bunch of pretties from the SMS shop!

I sewed along the edges of this 4×6 card from the 6×6 paper pad from C”eat La Vie.  I made a triangle shaped pocket with some vellum from the Bloom collection and then I filled it with ephemera.  I embellished with Lilac Twinkle sequins and a couple of Cork Chevrons.

Here, you can see that I layered ephemera on top of a Paper Lace Doily and added tiny word stickers, a Felt-Fetti Heart, Cork Chevrons and a watercolor word from Heidi Swapp.  I also hit it with a few splatters of Heidi Swapp Colorshine in Gold and Blush.

I made a “Frankencard” with one of the Bloom cut-a-parts by placing it on a 3×4 card and backing with glitter card stock.  I used a Medium Shipping Tag to layer a couple of other tags and added a tiny word sticker and more Lilac Twinkle sequins.

I made another card with a triangle shaped pocket and filled it with a few tags and ephemera.  I added a die cut flower from Bloom and tucked in a couple of Cork Chevrons.  I used the Thickers from Bloom to add “vol. 2”.  I sewed a die cut deer and an acetate piece on a 3×4 card an embellished with more of the same sequins.

I grabbed another Paper Lace Doily and loaded on the tags and ephemera.  I embellished with a Felt-Fetti Heart and Cork Chevrons.  I added a tiny word sticker, Heidi Swapp Colorshine and sequins.

I cut a Large Glassine Bag down to 4×6 and sewed in onto to this 4×6 card.  I layered on some ephemera and embellished with a strand of Felt-Fetti Hearts.

Because I am completely addicted to sequins, I made this 12×12 shaker pocket to go over my title page.  I sewed down the acetate “HELLO” from the C’est La Vie collection.  I filled it full of Sunny Smiles sequin mix and sewed it shut at the top!
