Oh Happy Day by Evi

Hello scrapbook friends! Welcome to the SpiegelMom Scraps blog for todays dose of inspiration.  I am working with the Strawberry Bubblegum sequins and Rockin Pink Ombre.  I am scrapping a 5×7 photo of Miguel and I taking a selfie.

I started off with a Heidi Swapp Sun Burst stencil and used my Dylusion Paint in Lemon Zest with a Ranger blending tool.  I then used Tree Hugger Shimmerz Past-eez through a stencil from Prima.  I then wanted to add pink so i mixed pink paint and modeling paste.

Since I started out with all the color in the background, I want to utilize embellishments from my stash, so I thumbed through an older Heidi Swapp collection, Favorite things.  I loved the acetate piece that said ‘Oh Happy Day,’ I made that be my title.

For added detail, I matched my sequins to the color of the modeling paste.  So Strawberry bubblegum went with the mint green areas and Rockin Pink Ombre in the pink areas.  I used Scotch quick dry glue to adhere them.
