Make It Yours Monday~Fall Family Fun

Hello Everyone!! It’s another Make It Yours Monday here on the SpiegelMom Scraps. This week, we are still having a fun time using sketches during our Sketch Swap with the girls over at Let’s Get Sketchy!!! I had a Ton of fun with this sketch…

First, I did take some creative liberties with this sketch! I decided to turn it sideways to fit the orientation of my photo. I did keep with the same aspects though!

A piece of American Crafts White Cardstock was the perfect base to starting point for this layout. I used Shimmerz Vibez in Sunset Strip to create some warm but subtle spatters in the background. I set that aside to dry and began to work on the photo area. I matted my photo with 3 different autumn papers from Echo Park (the pumpkins), Pink Paislee ( blue polka-dots) and Simple stories (orange dots). I also used a piece of Simple Stories Basics wood grain for the large square on the top left. I then adhered the photo to my layout when the Shimmerz was dry.

In my stash, I had a beautiful leaf stamp, so I used versa mark ink to add a few falling leaves to my page. Orange and Purple embossing powder really made them stand out. For 2 of the leaves, I actually mixed the 2 colors and they are SO pretty!!!

For my top cluster, I brought some of the papers from the photo layers up in strips, and fussy cut a pumpkin for the center. Another leaf stamp looks perfect up there joining the pumpkin! I added a Tim Holtz tiny word sticker from the Occasions set to finish off the corner.

I used Jillybean Soup Tiny alphas in orange to spell out the Fall and Fun in my title. . I added a die cut “Family” from the Simple Stories Sweater Weather pack to complete it.

THEN, The fun part!!! I got to use the AMAZING NEW Plum Dreamsicle SEQUIN MIX!!! I added some to the top cluster, Sprinkled them amongst the embossed leaves and a few with the title. I LOVE this new mix. They are SOOOOO Pretty!!! There is a gorgeous purple iridescent in it that has the most unique sheen to them, WOW. There is also a really pretty cream flat sequin that compliments it so well!!!
