Make It Yours Monday~ & I’ll Always Love You

Happy Monday scrappy friends and welcome to another Make It Yours Monday. Today, I have a layout for you, and I was inspired by the photo itself! I’m using a photo from my Mom and Step-dad’s (I hate that word!! lol, more like 2nd dad) wedding in 1992!! The inspiration came from the tiny purple flowers in the right corner. I was 9 years old and remember the day so well, and remember the color purple was very prominent that day. So, I chose to honor the memory and, well, use A Lot of purple to scrap it!!!

I started by layering a piece of American Crafts white textured cardstock on a piece of lilac cardstock. I took Grapetastic Dazzlerz, Punked Up Purple Coloringz and the new Don’t be a Pansy Paste-eez and watered down the pastes. I created splatters with all of the purples and set it aside to dry.

Then, I got to my layers behind my photo. I LOVE the new paper from Dear Lizzy’s Lovely Day that has great black and white floral’s. They were beautiful to take the Punked Up Purple Colorings to and spot color some of the flowers. Then, I  rummaged through my scraps box for the remainder of my layers. I backed all of the papers with piece of sparkly tulle and added a beautiful Chantilly lace 8″ doily from the shop to the back of the layers.

Next, I adhered some white crape paper to a strip of cardstock and ruffled them before stitching down the center with my sewing machine. I added the ruffles to the bottom of my photo and that completed the photo layers.

Next, I took a & Then What? cork ampersand and painted some watered down punked up purple colorings to give the cork a tint of color. I added a black ampersand to the bottom left corner of the photo and added a sprinkling of Opaque Orchid Sequins and Wedding Bells sequin’s  in a diagonal.  I used some of the same papers I used in my photo layers to create 3 little banners in the top right corner and continued the sequins onto them also.

In the bottom right corner of the page, I added my title. & I’ll Always Love You, which was also there wedding song!! I added a floral piece from Oh My Heart, a bit of journaling to the left of the title, a doodle boarder with my clean color pens in wisteria and my Layout was complete. I really love how purple it is!!

So, this week, make it yours and be inspired by photos!! Thank you so much for joining me this week and Dont forget to use LISA15 for 15% off all your shop purchases!!!!
