Happy Ground Hogs’ Dag!!  Jody here today.  Although I don’t take much stock in a ground hog determining whether or not I continue to freeze my butt off, it’s still a cute yearly tradition here in the U.S!!

Today, I’m sharing a layout I literally put together in 20 minutes!!  We all need layouts like these for busy, busy times!  I shared a couple sneaks of this on the SMS Instagram a few weeks ago and today I’m excited to share it with you all. I started with a FREE cut file (found on the Free Cut Files page here) cut out on American Crafts white cardstock and paper from Pink Paislee/Paige Evans, Take Me Away.  I chose the Flurries Background cut file I designed and simply layered it over my Pink Paislee paper.  I added a Chantilly Lacy 8 inch doily, some Pretty Little Studio Hello Heather papers and my photo, then adhered that onto my background.  I also added some craft foam under my photo to pop it up a little.

One other tidbit I’d like to share is my struggle to actually use cut files!  Crazy right?!  My scrap studio is no longer in the room, or even the same floor as my computer which causes a problem obviously.  So, to solve this dilemma I have been cutting files while I’m doing other things at my computer like checking email, working on taxes (UGH help me now LOL), etc.  It’s pretty easy to get my cut file set up cut, and then let it run while I’m working on other tasks.  I just wanted to share that with you all since I’m sure I’m not the only one that faces challenges like this.  So now, I have several different cut file background and others ready to go whenever I want to sneak away for 10 minutes to create in my space!!

I simply added my title, which are cardboard Thickers from American Crafts (maybe from Dear Lizzy or Amy Tan??) and Foam Thickers from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection.  Finally I sprinkled some Amore sequins in a few areas.  I called it good in 20 minutes you guys!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!  I hope you are inspired to pre-cut some background cut files and have them ready to go for creating some super quick layouts!!
