December Daily: Filler Page

Hello SMS fans!! This is Megan and I am excited to share this filler page I made for my December Daily album. I have been doing this month long project for the last 2 years and I have LOVED it! This will be my third year. I am super excited to get scrapping and keep up with this project this month.

I started out with this project thinking I was going to make this filler page part of my Day 2 layout spread. I decided towards the middle of making it that I wanted to make this page into just a filler. I’ve seen people do this in their albums and loved the idea. I thought it would be fun to document our favorite holiday movies. There are 5 of us in our family so I asked everyone to pick their favorite movie and wrote it down on the page.

To make this page I used a cinch album kit from Heidi swap that I got on super clearance at Michaels. I thought it would be fun to include random pieces in my album this year. This was the cover for the album I bought and loved that it had a hole in the top. I quickly decided that would be the spot for a sequin pocket.

I used a medium glassine bag from the store to hold my sequins. I spent a long time shaping it to fit the circle and then finally used hot glue to keep it stuck down. The sequin mix I used in the pocket was one of my favorites from the shop, Holly Berries. I really LOVE the colors in this mix!! It’s not only the traditional red and greens for Christmas so it’s very versatile.

I embellished the bottom of the page with a green ribbon and a chipboard candy cane border piece. I kept this page simple and clean and I love how it turned out!!

I put this cute little sticker down in the bottom right hand corner with a little red enamel dot for a little more embellishment.
