Hello SMS fans! It’s Sarah on the blog today with an 8.5×11 layout! I found a free cut file on Hipkitclub.net and was feeling very inspired to get out my SMS goodies and get crafty! Here is my layout for today:
I was feeling really inspired by all of the beautiful free cut files and by the Hip Kit design team gallery. I started with a fantastic cut file by Ashley Horton. I cut it out on my Silhouette using a beautiful piece of peach ombre paper from the Fancy Free paper pad. I stuck it down to a piece of 8.5×11 textured white card stock using my EZ Runner Grand. I layered a few pieces of patterned card stock from the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection behind my 3×4 picture. I also cut a piece of Large Glassine Bag to mimic the look of vellum and tucked it between the layers of card stock.
I added my title using the gold glitter Thickers from the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection. Then I started embellishing! I fussy cut a few of the butterflies from a piece of the Maggie Holmes Bloom paper and added a few of the SMS Cork Butterflies.
I added two chipboard frames added a ton of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold. I then added some of the Sunny Smiles Sequin mix, tucking a few of the larger sequins behind butterfly wings.
I tucked a White Paper Lace Doily and a Medium Shipping Tag behind my photo to add dimension and to have a place for hidden journalling. I grabbed a few pieces of wood veneer to add another texture to the page. I used my EZ Runner Grand to adhere the yellow rubber hearts from Maggie Holmes Bloom.
I finished off with some journalling strips that I typed on my antique typewriter. I added some stitching to the cut file and embellished with enamel dots, gems and hand punched mini gold glitter butterflies.
