Cute Cards with Your Scraps!

Hello everyone & happy Saturday!! It’s been a very long week on my Homefront so I’m looking forward to my much needed vacation starting tomorrow. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

** Today is the last day to upload your projects for the 4 challenges over on the SpiegelMom Scraps Facebook events page (linked). It’s also the last day to hop the Holiday Happiness Blog Hop, found HERE to start with. There are PRIZES!!

The last couple months I’ve been on a big card making binge. I’ve had orders for sets of cards to give as gifts and made a bunch of holiday cards too. Needless to say, I’m on a roll! Today I’d like to share a couple cards I made just using scraps of patterned paper & minimal stamping. My trick to making these cards it to use papers that aren’t real “matchy matchy.” I like a little contrast & to layer with a little dimension.

To create the dimension I use craft fun foam, which is very inexpensive compared to using a bunch of adhesive foam tape or squares. I learned this trick from Jennifer McGuire. I found mine on Amazon for a great price & it came with free shipping. Score!!

Another way I like to jazz up my cards a little is to add some May Arts Burlap String! It’s the perfect twine-type string for any project. Grab your scraps & get to creating!! You totally have time to crank out some card sets to give as gifts for teachers, secretaries, bosses, daycare providers and anyone else on your list!!

SPECIAL 15% off code valid through Dec 20th~ AMAZE15

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for a grand blog hop featuring lots of holiday sparkle & shine!! PLUS I’m giving away more Marion Smith Designs goodies AND a $10 gift code to my Etsy Shop. See you tomorrow!!
