You Are My Sunshine With Sarah

Hello there SMS fans!  Sarah on the blog today and I have another 8.5×11 layout for you!  I like to make companion layouts for my daughters, so I made another one to accompany the one I made last week!  Here it is:

I had seen so many beautiful layouts using dreamcatchers and I wanted to try one myself!  I started with an aqua paper from Pink Paislee Fancy Free and and a chevron paper from Maggie Holmes Bloom.  I cut a dreamcatcher out of the aqua using a cut file from the Silhouette Store and I cut a few feathers out with the chevron paper also using a cut file from the Silhouette Store.

I started with an 8.5×11 piece of white card stock and added my dreamcatcher that I popped up on foam dots.  I hand cut a circle out of gold glitter card stock to hide the foam dots.  And I hand cut a circle out of an old page protector to hold in the sequins.  I then filled the dreamcatcher with the Spring Blooms Sequin Mix.  I made an embellishment cluster with some Bloom ephemera and and a wood veneer heart from the Shimelle Wood Veneer pack in the shop.   I layered a small piece of Large Glassine Bag under my photo to soften the edges and add layers.

I added the feathers and stuck them on with pop dots and tucked a few of the white Birds of a Feather felt feathers and used coral baker’s twine to attach them.  I used the “Sunshine” puffy stickers from the Maggie Holmes puffy sticker pack from the Boom collection.   I added another wood veneer heart from Shimellle and glued on a hand punched glitter heart and a Kaisercraft rhinestone.  I also stamped on the date using my Becky Higgins date stamper.

I added a few splatters of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Black and embellished with a few of the puffy word stickers from the Maggie Holmes Bloom collection.  I finished off with some enamel dots and more Kaisercraft rhinestones and hand punched glitter hearts and called it done!  I hope you enjoyed my take on the popular dreamcatcher themed layout!  Check in next week to see more crafty inspiration from me and a youtube video!
