Hello SMS fans! It’s Sarah on the blog today with an 8.5×11 layout! I’m getting a little burnt out doing so much Pocket Life, so I thought that I’d break it up a little bit today with a layout! Here it is:
I have seen so many hot air balloons in the scrapping world lately and I wanted to try my hand at making one! I started with the Maggie Holmes Bloom 12×12 paper pad and started cutting out several hot air balloons on my Silhouette. I cut all of the hot air balloons not strips and sewed them down with my sewing machine. I added the basket at the bottom and used some teal bakers twine to add the strings.
Then I grabbed some of the gorgeous white Cloudy Days Felt Clouds from the shop and added a few in different sizes and tucked a wood veneer sun behind the clouds. I embellished with a hand punched gold heart and a few of the Spring Blooms Sequin Mix. I also added a few Kaisercraft rhinestones.
I backed the photo of my daughter being silly at a 2nd grade dance with a 3.25×4.25 piece of Large Glassine Bag. I like using glassine bag instead of vellum because it is so much cheaper! I added my title using the Maggie Holmes Bloom gold glitter Thickers and a die cut word from Heidi Swapp. I added a couple of Flutter Cork Butterflies and then I stamped the date on using my Becky Higgins roller date stamper.
I added a round sentiment sticker from the Bloom sticker sheet and overlapped a Flutter Cork Butterfy. I added a few puffy stickers from the Bloom puffy sticker sheet and splattered on some Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold. I embellished with a few more Spring Blooms Sequin Mix and a few more of the Kaisercraft Rhinestones and called it done!
I hope you enjoyed my quick and fun layout! Come back to the blog next Monday for more from me!
