Hello SMS fans! It’s Sarah on the blog today with my title page for my Pocket Life album for 2016. I typically struggle with my title pages but this came together pretty quickly!
I used a few left over cards from my Citrus Twist kits and plenty of goodies from the shop. I tried a different approach to title pages by using pictures of the season. Typically I only do pictureless embellished cards for title pages, but I thought I’d give this a shot.
Here is my main card for the spread. I used a vellum “16” from Citrus Twist and a White Lace Paper Doily and added a KaiserCraft die cut “fun” and an “adventure” sticker from Pretty Little Studio. I then layered on a Chunky Cork Star, die cut snow flakes, enamel dots and KaiserCraft gems.
I love using large words on my 4×6 pictures! I try to take lots of pictures of the sky and trees as the seasons change! Here I layered another die cut snowflake on top of a Chunky Cork Star.
I like repeating similar elements across a page or spread to make it all look cohesive. Here you can see that I added a few splatters of Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Pink and Blush.
After my title page was complete, I grabbed an extra 12×12 page protecter and cut it down to about 12×8. I stuck “2016” Thickers on a 6×8 piece of Studio Calico acetate and sewed it into place. I left a pocket on three sides to add a mix of Wedding Bells Sequin Mix and Blizzard Sequin Mix.
Here is a close up of the gorgeous sequins!
And here is what the finished project looks like all tucked into my 2016 album! I am still plugging away at Pocket Life for this year and I am currently working on Week 4! Stop by next week to see my progress!
