Hello friends! Karla here today with a pretty card and tag set featuring lots of adorable under the sea and mermaid images – and perfectly coordinated Let’s Be Mermaids and A Mermaid’s Tale sequins!
I layered on some older Kaisercraft sea themed paper along with a watercolour strip of blue paper for my card front. I used a corner rounder to round the right side corners of the card and paper before attaching.
These cute Pretty Cute Stamps digital images look great coloured up with Jane Davenport Magic Wand colouring pencils. I’ve been grabbing some stamped or printed out images along with coloured pencils and markers to colour while I’m at my daughter’s soccer games!
I love how well the Let’s Be Mermaids and A Mermaid’s Tale sequins matched! And I love how they give the card dimension and texture. I even used one of the awesome yellow flowers in the Summer Sunset sequin mix to tuck into one of the mermaid’s hair!
Inside, I added another watercolour paper panel printed with a digital sentiment and added a cute little turtle and some more pretty sequins. I’m totally addicted to adding sequins inside my cards!!
For the matching gift tag I layered some pretty papers and my images again, adding a doily and a button with twine. I used an American Crafts border punch to give my layers on the card and tag some more interest. A bit of Nuvo Crystal Drops along the border highlight the scalloped edge.
This sweet little gift tag and card set is all ready to give to my daughter’s friend for her upcoming birthday! And what little girl doesn’t like mermaids and sequins?!!

Hi Chaps! Laura here, and today I am working with the third Let’s Get Sketchy sketch from November…
I love the versatility of sketches and I’ve adapted this one to make an 8.5×11 layout.
My favourite part of this sketch is the sprinkling of embellishments diagonally across the page.
You can watch the process video, in which you see me trying to decide whether to splatter or not, here.
I have used; doily, tag, glassine bag, cork stars, felt-fetti hearts, Peachy Sherbet sequins, Lilac Twinkle sequins, Moonshine Delight sequins and Glass Slippers sequins all from SpiegelMom Scraps. I’ve also thrown in a couple of stars from Freckled Fawn, wood veneer acorns from my stash and papers from Pink Paislee.
Thanks for joining me today! Happy Small Business Saturday!
Hi Friends, Laura here today. I was inspired by a recent layout from our very own Jody. She had made a segmented shaker pocket, and this is my take on that…
I don’t have a fuse – my tool of choice is usually a sewing machine – but this time I opted for card and foam tape to divide my pocket in to three sections.
I used plenty of SpiegelMom Scraps products, and I’ll point them out as we look through the close ups. I placed a doily underneath my title – it gives the title a nice place to sit whilst adding subtle detail and texture.
My string of bunting is made with yellow bakers twine and secured with a couple of mini clothes pegs. I didn’t like the plain wood with the yellow so I coloured the pegs with a gold pen.
I wanted to hide my journalling so I used a glassine bag, shipping tag and some more twine. My photo is popped up on foam adhesive squares.
My sequin mix is the beautifully happy Sunny Smiles.
My flair needed something underneath to make it pop, so I made a nest of black thread. Having used the thread on one area I repeated it in two others to pull the whole layout together. I love the pops of black to add contrast.
I finished off my title with a sprinkling of sequins – this brought the yellow and gold to the left hand side of the page.
I have made a process video to go along with this layout…
Thanks for stopping by!
Ka here …. Hope you’re having a great week! Today I’m here to share a sweet note tag using one of my favorite food stamp – macarons. I love macarons A WHOLE LOT that every year I am given a dozen of them on my birthday from my darling husband. 🙂 This macaron stamp image is part of the set called Bonjour from Avery Elle. I stamped them in three different ink colors and fussy cut them out. I combined them with some of my favorite products from SpiegelMom Scraps – Spring Bloom Sequins Mix, Pink Lagoon Sequins Mix, white doilies, small glassine bags and a white shipping tag. I plan on hanging this sweet tag on a birthday gift bag that I am giving my friend on her birthday.
I hope you enjoy today’s project from me. Thanks so much for stopping by…
Hello, Laura here today to share a mixed media tag and a little gift wrapping.
I love to send little RAK’s to my crafty friends, and rather than just pop this gold twine in an envelope I thought I’d have a go at ‘pretty-ing it up’. I gathered some supplies from SpiegelMom Scraps and some recycled tissue paper…
I took a blank tag and Pucker Up Pink Dazzlerz. I put a fairly thick layer through a stencil and while it was still wet I pushed some sequins in to the paste. As the paste dries it acts like a glue and holds the sequins firmly. I took a large glassine bag, tore it down to size and ran the bottom edge through my sewing machine. Then when the tag was dry I layered it upon a doily, wrapped around some of the gorgeous navy twine and added a tiny peg. I decided at the last minute that the peg needed to be pink too so I gave it a coat of Dazzlerz!
I have used: sequins, Dazzlerz in Pucker Up Pink, a doily, a tag, a peg, a large glassine bag and some twine all from the SpiegelMom Scraps shop. If you need to stock up you can enter Laura15 at the checkout for a 15% discount.
Thanks for looking, I’d love to hear what you think!
