Hello everyone! I cannot believe October has finally arrived! Here in Southeastern Wisconsin the weather is turning cooler and Fall is in the air, which I love! I also absolutely adore my guest designer this month, Amy Lee aka The Craft Bunny! We ‘met’ through Etsy and I’m so happy we did. Amy’s YouTube channel is lovely and growing more and more every week. Please give a warm SpiegelMom Scraps welcome to Amy this month!
Hi there! My name is Amy Lee. I am the October Guest Designer forSpiegelMomScrapShop. I have a YouTube channel calledTheCraftBunny. This is actually my VERY FIRST time in a Guest Design Team and I am so EXCITED!
Today, I am sharing an anime inspired card featuring some awesome sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. I have always loved anime as a child. Their screen effects were extremely glamorous and very pretty. So in this project, I decided to channel my favorite anime memories into card making.
To start off, I stamped my Gorjuss Girl image in black, paper pierced her dress and then colored the rest with my color pencils. To make her even more realistic, I added a magic circle image from Google Images. I also made her a magic wand using a painted toothpick and some embellishments in my stash.
The card front background was created using pink, yellow and lavender acrylic paints. Then I adhered the focal point of my card using foam tape and hot glue. Then, I embellished the card using some mulberry paper flowers and sequins from SpiegelMom Scraps. To match the color scheme, I used sequins fromSilver Sunrise Mix, Moonshine Delight, Gold RushandSunny Days. I love adding in elements from the same color family to add fullness to my project. For the inside of the card, I simply adhered some lace to prop up the card front. That’s it for this card! If you’d like to see more, please check out theprocess videoon myYoutube channel. A full list of supplies is also available there. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you next week!

For today’s post, I made a birthday card with a matching birthday tag. I absolutely adore owls and think they are just some of the cutest critters. I decided to use the adorable owls images from the “Hoo Loves You” set from Whimsy Stamps to create today’s projects. I started the card by die-cutting a white stitched rectangle panel and masking the stitched edges with masking tape. I then, placed a Heidi Swapp Stencil over it and applied some mint ink all over the entire panel. I added some gray ink by lightly sponging around the edges. To create the gray frame, I used the chisel end of a T4 Copic Marker to color in the masked stitches edges. This panel was adhered to a lavender card base. Next, I stamped the owls in gray ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I popped the owls up using foam dimensional adhesives and added an aqua chevron twill ribbon to ground them. I pulled out a Studio Calico Speech Bubble Wood Veneer and stamped “have a” and “birthday” to the speech bubble in black ink and then popped the speech bubble with foam dimensional adhesive. As a finishing touch, I scattered some sequins from the Sunny Day Sequins and Blue Lagoon Sequins Mix from SpeigelMom Etsy Shop. I thought it be fun to create a matching tag for the birthday card above. I did some stencil work on one of the SpiegelMom Scraps Medium Shipping Tag and matted it with a gray cardstock. I customized the “woo-hoo!” sentiment using Avery Elle Elle’s Alphas and stamped the sentiment from Newton’s Nook Designs Newton’s Birthday Bash set. The owl and plum chevron twill ribbon were popped with foam dimensional adhesives. I finished the tag by adding the same mix of sequins as the card and tying yellow baker’s twine on top from SpiegelMom Scraps Etsy Shop.
I just love how this card and tag turned out! I hope you like them too and were inspired by today’s post! Thanks again for stopping by and don’t forget to stop by my blog. for the full list of supplies used to create today’s projects!
