I used my brothers scan n cut to cut out the file she shares on her blog. Then, I got to weeding it out!!
After that was completed, I used some Shimmers Coloringz in Keep Palm and i watered it down to get a really light watercolor as well as some Pretty In Pink coloringz. I used a few other shimmers colors (Giddy About Green, Pink-A-Boo, Meet Me @ Sunset, and Pugnacious Purple) to add hints of color to the cut file. I also used some Dazzlers in Tutti Frutti to hold down the sequins I added to bring more color and sparkle to the page. The sequins I used were Pinky Pie Pinks, Lets Be Mermaids, Moonshine Delight and A Mermaid’s Tale
Then I chose a light teal paper from the Fancy Free paper pad I picked up in the shop and trimmed it down to fit and adhered it on a pink mat and them placed the cut file over top
After the cut file was secured (tip, use a fineline bottle for this one!) I matted my photo and used some foam adhesive to pop it up. I added my title to fit around the corner and it fit really nice!
I am so thrilled with this one. my little one even said, “Awww, that’s me and it’s so pretty!” I hope you enjoyed the process and dont forget to use Lisa15 for 15% off all your SpiegelMom Scraps orders!!!

I decided to create a two page Project Life style spread for you and I really love how it turned out. I like to keep my PL spreads simple, with splashes of embellishments and sparkle. This way, the focus stays on my photos. This summer my husband and I took our three youngest daughters on a fun little photo shoot to our land where we’re currently building our home and around the town where we live. I incorporated a few of my favorite products and created fun sequin pockets along the 2×12″ section of the the WRMK pocket page protectors. I wasn’t sure how I was going to use it, but thought sequins was perfect along with using my Fuse Tool!
See those little foiled hearts in the sequin pockets? Those were foiled using the Heidi Swapp MINC Mini. The starter kit comes with several toner sheets that you can die cut or use with your paper punches. Such an awesome tool to have your scrappy arsenal!! I also created a fun little sequin shaker using a small glassine bag, Hearts on Fire sequins and some lovely black glitter Thickers from Pink Fresh Studio.
Another one of my favorite products are the felt die cuts. Birds of a Feather felt die cuts are such beauties and come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. As you can see, I added the white Felt-Fetti Hearts right onto my photos as simple accents. I just used tacky glue to adhere them.
Thank you for spending your time with us today! I’d love for you be in the running for one of the 3 prizes I’m giving away. Please be sure to leave comments on all the blogs to be entered! Now, you’ll be heading over to Laura’s blogwhere she’s sure to knock your creative socks right off!!! She always inspires me for sure. Happy hopping 🙂
Hey, everyone! Kat popping in today to share a Project Life spread with you. So…I am way, way, waaaaaay behind on my PL album this year and I need to catch up quickly. Luckily, by picking out just a few core supplies, I am able to create a spread in a short amount of time and still have it embellished and pretty-looking. Most importantly, I am getting these memories on the page before I forget them entirely J
For this spread I decided to stick with a PL mini core kit (I used Amy Tangerine’s Plus One kit), my favorite hearts & arrows wood veneers, an assortment of sequins and some label stickers.
Here is my spread:
My favorite detail from the spread is the confetti pocket. Confetti pockets are such a quick and easy way to add interest to a PL spread. I mixed the gold rush sequinswith the gold stardust confetti (they are sold out and being restocked soon, but you can find the silver assortment here) and I used my fuse tool to close up the pocket.
I also love the Dear Lizzy wood veneers and knew that the “Best Ever” one would be perfect to layer on top of a scenery photo from the week – just another easy way to add some quick interest.
The rest of the spread is fairly simple with a smattering of wood veneers, sequins and enamel shapes. This page came together in about 30 minutes and most importantly, it’s done and added to my 2015 album!
