Goooood morning!

Lately my projects have a theme..they’re all tiny and come together quickly. But most importantly, they allow me to really express my craftiness in the midst of crazy life. Definitely the #1 reason why I love mini albums so much.

I recently ordered “Night Moves” Coloringz from the shop.. a perfectly deep black¬†Shimmerz mist- and knew I wanted to use it in contrast with something girly.

I cut down a piece of white textured cardstock and chose some watercolors that would contrast with the black and match the gorgeous “rockin’ pink ombre” sequin mix. I brushed some color on and once that dried I splattered the black around.

I matted my picture with patterned paper and vellum – Ada is the little black dog pictured along with my friend Katie. She is so ridiculously spoiled.. we went up to the mountains when there were a few inches on the ground and the temp was in single digits. Ada was not happy about walking around in the cold snow, so she picked her front paw up and began to limp HA. Wes and I know her tricks but Katie felt bad for her.

I adhered sequins all over the page – some with glue, some with mini staples. And spilled a few for good measure because they’re so pretty ūüėČ

A few black and gold embellishments + stamping and journaling finish off this mini layout. Short on crafty time? Find some products you love and throw them together on a mini layout. You’ll love the results!

Fall Mini & LGSketchy Sketch with Rachel

Hope y’all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Time relaxing with family is such a gift, and I’m cherishing it! This post is picture heavy because I’m SO excited to share this fall mini album. Incorporated in my album is a full page using this week’s Let’s Get Sketchy¬†sketch.

Target always has has smaller binders that fit 6×8 page protectors really well – and depending on the brand you purchase, you may only need to punch a few more holes. #minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers I got those gold glitter alphas and wood veneer leaves at Target too.. swoon. It looks perfect against that wood grain specialty paper I’ve been hoarding forever.#minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers

#minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers I’ve included lots of Crate Paper products in this mini – from old and new lines. Behind the “Give Thanks” title is a little Shimmerz¬†Dazzlers¬†in Coral Me Crazy. I love the added texture.dsc_0177

#minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers

#minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers One of my favorite details in this mini is that shaker pocket filled with exclusive sequins,¬†Falling Leaves.http://letsgetsketchy.blogspot.com/If you follow my layouts, you’ll notice that leaf looks familiar – I used lots of them here. They’re a beautiful mix of these¬†Shimmerz products (1, 2, 3)#minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers I made a filler card with a stencil and Mari-Gold Digger¬†texture paste and I love how it turned out. Aren’t those pictures I took of one of my besties fun!?#minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers It was so fun to work with a sketch created for a larger scale on a 6×8 layout! The title is Dear Lizzy and the scraps of paper are mostly from the¬†Gather¬†collection.¬†The sequins I used on this page are an exclusive mix, Mocha Mint Dream. And I finished off with a cloud feltie.#minialbum #autumn #scrapbooking #papercrafting #shimmerz #sequins #spiegelmomscraps #LGSketchy #sketch #scrapchallenge #wermemorykeepers

I loved documenting these fall months in a mini, almost like a December Daily. Thanks for stopping in – I hope it’s inspired you to create!

Fall Friday – Mini Album

Welcome, Fall!

Although it’s a freakish 85 degrees here in NC as I write this, I’m still gazing at the fall foliage from inside my air conditioned home and enjoying the beauty of it. Because many of the fall activities for this year have yet to come, I put together a short mini from 2015 – I just couldn’t wait!

#SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscrapsFor the front and back covers, I used two pieces of thick cardstock mod podged together, nothing too fancy.#SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscrapsThe title was made with some alphas from my stash (I love pairing white + gold).¬†¬†For this mini, I didn’t necessarily care that the pages were different sizes. I liked the eclectic feel. #SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscrapsI wanted the first thing you saw when you opened the mini to be a gorgeous shaker pocket page. I paired some exclusive Autumn Joy¬†sequins¬†with some cork die cuts from the shop. *Remember that time I told you I’ve been using these sequins with everything and they last FOREVER? Visit here for another project using this mix.¬†It’s perfect#SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscrapsI like to include little journaling cards in my mini albums – Can you see that one peeking out from the bottom?¬†#SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscrapsThese pictures of our sweet dogs are two of my very favorites. On projects I love to give the effect that clothespins are holding pictures in place.¬†#SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscrapsI love getting fancy Starbucks coffee in the Fall, and so I tucked one inside a glassine bag turned pocket envelope. I used a lot of products from the Basic Grey Barista line on this project.¬†#SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscrapsTags are the perfect addition for adding interest to mini albums!#SpiegelMomScraps #minialbum #autumn #sequins #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping @SpiegelMom_Scraps @wordsandpaperscraps

Our 2nd anniversary is November 1st. I can’t wait for 100 years worth of fall-inspired anniversary pictures with my sweet hubby. Hope you enjoyed this mini!

Album/journal cover by Lea

Good ¬†Thursday¬†girls, today a little late but I hope you enjoy my¬†project : it’s the cover of an album / journal on which I am working. The cover is completely handmade made with¬†recovery cardboard ¬†and cotton fabric. Once I built the cover I painted, printed and embellished it with stencils and different Shimmerz ¬†colors. The result is very colorful and sparkling, thanks to the sequins that I put here and there to give light points. To complete the cover instead I used embellishments (doily, shipping tags, mini Clothspins, die cut) from the neutral color, so the cover did not appear too heavy. I have a lot of fun doing it.

Next album /  journal completed. See you soon and good creativity for all. xoxo Lea

Love memories mini album by Lea Biccelli

Hi all, Lea’s here.¬†For this new appointment I wanted to dedicate a mixed media project, a mini album completely handmade.

mini feb2 cover

I made the cover with the heavy recycled cardboard covered with cotton fabric. Before proceeding with the decoration I treated the background with the clear gel to isolate the tissue from the next steps and make it less absorbent.

mini feb2 scorcio

The super fun part was to work the Shimmerz Paint with a spatula, once dry I used the Shimmerz Paste through the stencil to give texture to the background.

mini feb2coverdet4

I then added various embellishments: lace, twines, wood veneer, beads and micro beads, small sequins. Finally many splashes of color.

The inside pages, bound with bind it all, have very few embellishments; for the background, as for the cover, I used Shimmerz Paint with a spatula and some stamped.

Thanks for getting here in this long post, I hope I have inspired at least a little, and I assure you that getting your hands dirty with colors is very liberating.

December Daily Wrap Up 2013

Well my scrappy friends, the hustle and bustle of the holidays¬†is almost done and our ‘normal’ routines will resume soon.¬† It’s always bittersweet for to me to return to work after a wonderful 13 days off!¬† I love routine and being organized, but staying home with our kids is wonderful.¬† I’ve been soaking them up like crazy these last few days!!!¬†

I’ve been trying to get this post done for the last 4 days too… So onto the last few days of my¬†December Daily.¬† Here’s a close up shot of how the edges of my mini album look.¬† Lots of different elements peaking out from the behind the pages.¬†

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 089

I’ve really fallen in love with all the gold accents in the paper crafting world this year.. Gold Doilies, Sequins, Alpha stickers… the list goes on!¬† I did some very simple layering on top of the 4×6″ Simple Stories card.¬†¬† I cut a Gold Foil Doily in a third and adhered it with Aileen’s Tacky Glue, then cut some little banner shapes out.¬† I chose¬†this Peace Love¬†Joy¬†4×4″ Simple Stories card and adhered it to the 4×6″ card, along with the banner shapes and the Gold Foil Doily.¬† Pretty simple ūüôā

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 092

¬†This page is the backside of the 4×6″ card above.¬† The contrast of the black and white chalkboard design is a great mix with all the bright Christmas colors!¬† I just added a few SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins, Maggie Holmes gold glitter alphas and called it a day!

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 094

¬†Next is a little more complicated page.¬† The base of the page is wool felt with I ran through my sewing machine around the edges with gold thread… my other new favorite ūüôā¬† Next, I die cut WISH on my Cricut using my Close To My Heart Artbooking Cartridge.¬† I used a 6×6″ piece of paper from the Fancy¬†Pants Merry¬†Little Christmas pad¬†and then¬† trimmed around it to create the large banner shape.¬† This is another creative¬†way to use your Cricut!!¬† It looks like a specialty¬† die cut or something created with a Silhouette.¬† It’s adhered to the felt with Aileen’s Tacky Glue and then I added more layers and other elements around it.

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 097

¬†A little closer…

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 098

This page was created on the backside of the 21 page above.  I adhered the Santa paper to this side before running it through my little sewing machine.  The page below is a fun pocket page.  You can have the kids write down their wish lists, traditions or even what your Elf on the Shelf has been up to this month!

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 099

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 101

Next, is this adorable snowman page!¬† The page is green wool felt with the patterned paper adhered with Aileen’s Tacky Glue and stitched around the edges with gold thread.. yes there’s a trend here GOLD!

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 103

Finally Christmas morning was upon us!!!!  This page is super simple.. just add some sequins and a gold glitter thicker.. Good. To. Go!

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 106

This page is the backside to the Dec 25th card.  I thought it was the perfect way to end my December Daily and needed no embellishment!

I wish you all a very blessed and Happy New Years!!!¬† I’ll be back very soon with Part 1 of a very special mini album reveal!!¬†

XOXO,

Jody

December Daily, days 12-15

Welcome back for another edition of my December Daily 2013!¬†¬† I feel like I just lost a whole week and I have no clue where it went. UGH!¬† Not cool since today is December 16th already.¬† Well, let’s keep it rolling today.¬† Here are the last few pages of my December Daily countdown album.¬† I’m sure you’ve noticed there are no photos¬† in this type of DD.¬† True, but that’s not to say some smaller wallet sized photos or even a few 3×3 or 4×4″ Instagram photos can’t be added later.¬† It’s all about just getting it done sometimes.

December 12th ~ It’s a special day in our family, my Dad’s birthday!!¬† I left this larger page in my album partially¬†‘blank’¬†with lots of space for photos.¬† Well, it’s not really blank because it’s patterned paper of course.¬† The red glitter die cut jouraling spot is actually from the My Minds Eye Lost & Found (I think).¬† I just tied it up with some May Arts red burlap string and added the Maggie Holmes Gold Glitter Thickers and called it done!

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 073

December 13th ~ It was Friday the 13th, but I don’t think anyone can apply any of that superstitious business during this holiday season!¬† Page 13 is also super simple.¬† It’s a 4×6″ Simple Stories Signature Elements card.¬† All I did on this page¬†was add some cute Studio Calico Wood Veneer Trees (from my Etsy Shop) and the lucky number 13 in those super sparkly Gold Glitter Thickers by Maggie Holmes.¬† Easy peasy, lemon squeezy as our sweet Hannah always says ūüôā¬† ** You can see page 15 ‘hanging out’ below page 13 also.¬† I love to create mini albums with different sized and shaped pages. It keeps the album interesting and interactive.¬† It’s also fun to see other page elements sticking out along the sides.. at least I think so!

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 074 Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 076

December 14th ~ This is¬†the flip side of the card above (page 13).¬† Again, it’s very simple.¬† I only added some Studio Calico Wood Veneer Chevrons and the Maggie Holmes Gold Thickers.

Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 077 Hannah's Pageant Dec 15, 2013 078

Next, you finally get to see all of December 15th.¬† This page was already a little ‘busy’ with all the wording, so I only added a few other elements to it.¬† Buttons, SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins and more Maggie Holmes Gold Thickers.¬†

Mini Album Tips

Even though all my pages are completely different, it still all ties together.¬†¬† In order to have any album feel cohesive you should follow a few simple tips (unless that’s not the look you’re going for of course!).¬† The first way I kept my December Daily mini album cohesive¬†is by keeping a few specific things the same throughout the entire album.¬† It’s doesn’t really matter what things you keep the same, but pick a few and stick with them.¬†¬† I chose to use only¬†two manufacturers whose paper lines mixed and matched well, Simple Stories and Fancy Pants.¬†¬† Next, I wanted some smaller common elements to stand out throughout my December Daily.¬† To accomplish this¬†I chose the Maggie Holmes Gold Glitter Thickers.¬† ** Just a heads up when you want to use the same exact letter stickers though.. make sure you buy enough of that particular sticker set.¬† This does take some extra planning, but it’s worth it in the end.¬† I¬†ended up using three of the Maggie Holmes Gold Glitter Thickers to get all the numbers and letters I needed.¬† That being said, I still have plenty of stickers left on those three sets for many more projects.

Ok now to wrap it up (pun totally intended here), check out how the page elements from a separate page are sticking out along the side.¬† Keep your pages in mind as you’re building your albums and every so often fold the album closed to see what it looks like.¬† If you like this look, definitely try it out.¬† The fact that the red and light blue contrast nicely against each other, really make this some pretty eye candy to look at!¬† Plus that light blue chevron page has some machine stitching on it.. sweetness!

Etsy Shop News!¬† I now have a Gift Wrapping option in my shop!¬† Just add it to your cart and check out like normal.¬† I’ll gift wrap your purchase in a smooth Kraft paper, tie it up with bakers twine and include a handmade card.¬† I’ll send it your way OR to an address you specify (within your same country).

It’s getting to be crunch time everyone!¬† I hope everyone has a good start on their holiday¬†shopping.¬† This week is my Husband’s normal week to shop.¬†¬†He takes it down to the wire sometimes, but he’s always a very thoughtful gifter.¬† Love that man!

Oh… and I still owe you a couple Project Life layouts too!!¬† They’re coming, I promise!¬† TTFN!

Heidi Swapp Mixed Company Blog Share is here!

Hello, hello Heidi Swapp¬†and fans!¬† Gee, I hope that not too assuming.. you know that the Heidi Swapp herself will¬†swing by today!!¬†¬†Us scrappy¬†girls can dream right?!!¬† After all, the fabulous Maggie Holmes stopped by last month to say hi!¬† I was like a little girl in a candy store when that happened and my poor husband thought I was the biggest dork in the world when I freaked out!¬† Yes, I will proudly admit that I {who am usually very calm, cool and collected} ¬†freaked out when Maggie Holmes commented on my blog…so awesome!

Any-hoooo!! Welcome to our second blog share with Gia Lau of The Painted Crane,¬†Erica Thompson of EricaRose Creates¬†and Jenn Bidwell-Edwardson.!¬† I’m so honored to be ‘hanging out’ with these ladies because they always inspire me to try new techniques and to be a better scrapper in general.¬† This month’s challenge with our incredible Heidi Swapp Mixed Company and Color Magic kit is to use some round and our quote is:

“The world is round so that friendship may encircle it.”

I really love that Gia chose this quote for this month.¬†No matter what amazing,¬†crazy and sometimes awful things happen in this world, it will continue to go round.¬† I think many of us can relate this to our everyday lives and it really hit home today for me.¬† Few people¬†know this because everything happened so fast the last 36 hours, but my Mom just had a terrible scare with cancer.¬† I’ll spare the details here but surgery yesterday morning revealed she doesn’t have cancer… I don’ think I ever prayed so hard in my life for something!!¬† My Mom isn’t just my Mom.¬† She’s Nana to our daughters, wife to my incredible Dad for over 37 years, a sister, a daughter and one of the best friends this girl could ever ask for.¬† One more thing she is.. feisty!¬† That’s where I get it from ūüôā¬†and I’m proud to say it!¬† That being said, let’s spread some friendship love around the internet today and share our blog posts with YOUR friends and loved ones even if they aren’t “scrappers” as we affectionately call ourselves!¬† We love to “Make Pretty Stuff”¬†so let’s spread the joy!!

Here are my Heidi Swapp projects!!¬† First up, my mini album.¬† This wood veneer star mini wasn’t in my kit, but it WAS in my stash & screaming my name along with my Color Shine!¬† I added some silver metallic sequins from my Etsy Shop {SpiegelMom Scrap Shop}¬†too. These are a fabulous deal ~ 650 Sequins for $4.00 and I ship worldwide.¬† TIP: I attach my sequins with my Aileen’s Tacky Glue.¬† The overall design of this mini is pretty simple.¬† I really wanted you see these fabulous Heidi Swapp resist papers!! They are so amazing to work with.

HS mini cover star on cover (2)

My first page of the mini¬†is actually a collage of rub-ons from my stash (like 5 years old from Daisy D’s!)¬† I didn’t really want a picture on this page for some reason so¬†& decided to use one of the¬†Color Magic sheets with my Gold Mr. Huey’s.¬† This seriously turn out awesome!¬† I just added spray ink, rub-ons and more SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins¬†here!¬† The hearts in the background were done with the fabulous 12×12′ Heidi Swapp hearts mask and more Mr. Huey’s gold spray ink.¬† I think this¬†mask will¬†come out a whole lot in the future, just sayin’.

There are two pages left in my mini to fill up yet.¬† I have some pictures in mind but want to do some more digging through my digi files this weekend before I choose.¬† Now for my File folder layout.¬† At first the file folders scared me… which I fully admitted to EricaRose Creates last week! LOL!¬† Now, I’m in love!!¬† I do need to get the nifty case for them now ūüôā

DSC_0397 (2) DSC_0398 (2) DSC_0388 (2) DSC_0390 (2) DSC_0391 (2) DSC_0394 (2) DSC_0395 (2)

You’ll notice lots of layering in the file folders… I really could have added more but had to force myself to just say no LOL!¬† Plus, I’m just exhausted after the last 36 hour whirlwind around that darn C-word.¬† I did find several more Heidi Swapp pretty things in my stash while I was working on my projects~ the pink circle bling and the¬†¬†little bitty bling in the matchbook!¬†¬†I was stoked to find those and add them to my Heidi Swapp kit.¬† I also added some silver Stickles on top of the chevron Clear Pop accents along with right side {pointing to Abby’s hands in the running water}.

Finally, I’ll leave you with the third layout about my wedding which was 8 years ago!!¬† This is one of my favorite photos of me and my guy.¬† I used a foam brush to add my Glimmer Mists and Mr. Huey’s spray inks to the Color Resist paper and began adding some layers, with a sprinkling of more SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins!!

DSC_0378 (2)Here are a couple close ups.¬† Don’t you love how those¬†Deep Sea Blue Sequinsreally light up the layout!!¬† All the sequins used on my projects are the latest additions to my Etsy Shop.¬† Again, there are about 650 sequins in one package for only $4.00!!¬† Check out all the colors and there are more on the way too!

DSC_0381 (2)

I have to give a very special thank¬†you to Gia, Erica and Jenn this month!¬† I know they’ll inspire you just as they me.¬†¬† Please each of their blogs today too and leave them some love!!¬† Each of their names is¬†a direct link to their creative blogs.

Wait, I’m not done!!!¬† Here is¬†a chance to win a prize from my Etsy Shop, SpiegelMom’s Scrap Shop!!¬† One lucky winner will get their choice of¬†1 package of sequins ~ 1 package of wood veneers ~ 20 yards of May Arts Burlap String¬†(choice of color) & a set of 25 Large Shipping Tags!!¬† The random drawing will be Friday morning!¬† To qualify to win please leave a comment and follow my blog via BlogLovin’ or by entering your email address in the right sidebar.¬† Check back to see if you’ve won, as the¬†prize will for forfeited after 5 days.¬† Sharing on Facebook Twitter, Instagram and other social media will earn you another drawing¬†entry each!!¬† Stop back and comment to let me know were you’re shared this post too ūüôā¬† I’d love to find & follow you too!

Create a NEW stamp using old stamps in a Krafty Hearts Blog Share

Kraft-y Heart Blog Share

Welcome back! My fellow Krafty Hearts are Lynn Darda and Kim Hill. Make sure you hop over to their blogs for some fantastic inspiration. I linked their scrappy blogs into their names above for your convenience.

“Out with the old & in with the new” is our theme. Today’s project is all about using up your supplies before you get your new goodies. Also, I personally feel like I should justify my scrapbooking and stamping supplies. So, I’ve found a way to to utilize my stamps, even older ones, in my scrapbooking. I’ll take you through a short tutorial at the end of this post.

Now for the feature presentation! My “So You” Claire large tag mini album! I love making mini albums, especially with these large shipping tags. They’re just a little larger than 3×6″, which is a great size for all those Instagram photos I’ve been taking. Mini albums are also a great way to use up those supplies pretty quickly.

Most of the die cuts are from the Artiste Cartridge. Let me tell you I LOVE this cart!! I don’t think I’ve ever been happier with the actual images and quantity of images on a single cart. That’s saying a lot since I have my share ūüôā

029 031 033 032 034 035 036 037 039 040 042 043 045

I took this challenge a bit further than just using up your current and older supplies. I wanted to use an ‘older’ stamp, or stamp set, in a new way! I used the Wheel of Life (June Stamp of the Month) to create this little 2×2‚ÄĚ cluster of words as a journaling block. This die cut journaling spot is also on the Artiste Cartridge along with many others.

My process: Gather your clear stamps to use in the collage (of sorts) and arrange them in your journaling block or directly onto your scrapbook page. Once you have the words or images arranged to your liking, press your CTMH Acrylic Block directly on top of those stamps to adhere them to the block. Gently lift up the acrylic block to create your NEW stamp. Ink it up and stamp as usual with your favorite CTMH Ink. Pretty easy, right!?

Here’s a little twist on that technique. Add a small word somewhere in the midst of that journaling block with your CTMH Kraft alphabet stickers. Next, arrange your other stamps around the stickers for another cool effect!

Close To My Heart supplies:

~ Liquid Glass to create all those little shiny details and to adhere all my little clouds and banner

~ Claire paper

~ Gems and Acrylic flowers

Other Supplies: Large shipping tags and mini glassine bags from my Etsy Shop HERE and seam binding from my stash.

I hope I’ve inspired you to keep using the stamps in your stash and not let them collect any dust! Stamps are some of the best tools we have yes I meant to say tool. We just need to find new and creative ways to keep using them.

Create an Easy December Mini Book!

¬†First of all… welcome to my new blog and website!!!¬† I’ll be adding more features in the upcoming weeks.¬† You’ll find the site navagation bar at the bottom of the page.

I said easy & I meant it!¬† Here’s what you do to create a simple 6″x6″ mini book, for any occasion.¬† I’m using my December Traditions Album to document some of the everyday things we do, like Black Friday shopping and¬†putting up our tree right after.¬† St. Nick also visits our home and brings us goodies and¬†a Christmas movie or two.

For this mini album, start with¬†a couple 12″x12″ pieces of patterned paper.¬† I used double sided paper¬†with a side I loved and a side I didn’t love.¬† I cut my wood grain sheet of paper in half to create¬†two¬†6″x12″ pieces for my album pages.¬† Next, score the 6″x12″ piece at the 6″ mark, then fold in half as shown below.¬† {You can click on the individual pictures below to make them bigger.}

The next pictures in the gallery show the insides of album pages that I covered with Fancy Pants Home For Christmas 6×6″ papers.¬† I covered the crossword puzzle side of the papers and left the wood grain side exposed.

After arranging the order of my pages, I punched holes with my Crop A Dile.  Metal book rings are a great way to put together mini albums, tags albums and more!  Then, let the fun began!! I added Studio Calico Wood Veneers, May Arts Burlap String, tags, glassine bags, Mr Hueys Spray Ink, Washi tapes and more!

Now that you can see how easy it is, create one for your December traditions this year!  As a special THANK YOU for stopping by today, I have a special deal for you.  Buy 3 washi tapes in my Etsy Shop and one FREE!!!  Just message me with your FREE WASHI choice.

You really can make time to scrapbook around the holidays, just keep it simple and scrap it!!
