I thought painting have of the hearts with the Dazzlerz was a great way to add a little extra wow. When the paste is wet apply the sequins. I just sprinkled them on to the surface and pressed them in with a stick.
I love who this card looks even when it is laying sown flat. The sequins on the top and the cluster at the bottom adds a lot of drama without the bulk.
Thanks for stopping by and having me as a guest for this month.
Yes, silver!! You all know I love gold accents & papers but silver is another metallic must have in my scrappy stash! It can create so many different looks and effects, the possibilities are fabulous & endless! That why I fell in love with the newDazzlerz Foiled Again texture paste. It’s magical.
For my layout, I used an Amy Tangerine stencil and added theFoiled Again Dazzlerzin a few areas around my 12×12 paper. Then I added a few layers ofMay Arts Ribbon pink burlap stringand ephemera from my stash. As you can see some of the hearts in the stencil didn’t get filled in all the way. I’m totally ok with that & love the look it creates. I also popped up my ephemera with somefoam squares adhesives. Here are a few more angles where you can really see the shimmerz & dimension of the Foiled Again Dazzlerz.
I decided to add a couple Pink Fresh Studio enamel frames & puffy stickers. I love that those puffy stickers look like clouds!! Here’s my finished layout, featuring my love of Sari & Abby’s eyelashes.

Next up… my new process video and layout are up and running finally!! We had our laptop die on Saturday… awesome right! So, I’m a bit behind this week, especially after a leak in the basement was super close to my scrap area!! EEKKK! But, after a late night session I’m ready to rock and roll again! Here’s my watercolor background layout, featuring Shimmerz Creameez watercolors!! I’m so lovin’ these watercolors!! After creating my watercolor background (YouTube video here on how I created it), I began adding some very simple layers of Heidi Swapp Hello Today papers, cork butterflies, pink baker’s twine, Pink Fresh Studio puffy stickers, felt hearts and Dear Lizzy wood veneer‘Best Ever’ for my title!
To create my loops of baker’s twine, I simply laid out my twine with the loops how I wanted them. Next, I added a few dabs of Aleene’s Tacky Glue to the tops of the loops and let it dry for a few minutes. Then, I added the baker’s twine loopy-banner onto my layout using the same tacky glue! Pretty easy and great way to use your twine and strings!
I really love how the water color background looks!! There’s just a little bit of shimmer in the watercolor, which is hard to see in the photos. It’s so pretty!!
Thanks so much for spending your time with me today! Please hop over and check out my YOUTUBE VIDEO HERE!
Hello everyone! As you can see, it’s Tuesday and you know what that means. My fabulous July Guest Designer Teresa is back for another wonderful project and video for us. Take it away Teresa!
Hey guys it Teresa here again with another project for July! Can I tell you how much fun I’m having using all of Jody’s amazing goodies! I’m back this time with my traditional 8.5×11. This is a favorite of mine love how it turned out.
Hi, everyone!! Kat here today to show off another one of my favorite products from the SMS store. Last month, I shared the awesomeness of the gold doilies. This month, I want to share how great the green chevron washi can be. Since I always associate the color green with the month of March, I figured it was a good product to feature.
This page came together very quickly for me. I just measured off the top 5 inches of my cardstock and covered it in the washi tape. I alternated the direction of the chevrons, which ended up creating an optical illusion of sorts (seriously, stare at it for a while…it’s a bit trippy!) That was a happy accident! Once I was done with that, I added simple embellishments, a few paint drips and then I was done. This layout came together in about 20 minutes!
Good afternoon, everyone!Kat here today sharing my first layout on the SpiegelMom Scraps blog.
This year, my family did a “late Christmas” in January because we wanted to celebrate when we were all able to be together. Our nieces were super excited for an extra Christmas celebration. They got all cute in their new Christmas jammies, watched a movie and then opened presents.I got some very cute photos of the two of them and did not want to wait a whole year before scrapping them!
I am so in love with the gold doilies right now so I really wanted to come up with a unique way to incorporate them into the layout and sort of highlight their “awesomeness”.I ended up using them to create a fun background:
I pulled some of my other favorite items from the store –star sequins, heart shaped wooden veneers – to create this fun layout of my two favorite girls.
For this layout I used the following items from the store:
