The Monday after losing an hour of sleep is always a hard one.. I’m here today with a colorful spring spread hoping to brighten the first day of your work week!
I really love capturing the details of our home.. I wanted to incorporate some floral prints into this spread of the new flower arrangement in our kitchen. I used several papers from the Felicity Jane “Jane” March kit.. my first one. I made a deal with myself that if I were subscribing to a new kit, I would do a better job of incorporating products that I already have.
I have lots of Shimmerz products from the shop hanging out in my craft room. I chose this shade of green to add a little detail to my spread (like those dots highlighting the “photos I love” journaling card) and create an ombre filler card. I absolutely love using Acri-Tonez with water – it creates a water-color look that still has a matte-like finish! So great!
Do you have some shimmerz Acri-Tonez in colors you struggle to use? Try using it in combination with water for a water-color effect. It really softens the color!
I thought cork products were the perfect balance for this spread – the natural tones worked well with the pastel color palette! I used arrows and hearts from the shop.
I love the layering of sequins (this mix!) on cork – and the staple just adds some whimsy! Fun fact, I keep forgetting to order tiny staples for my tiny AC stapler, so those are full sized staples.. HA. Also on my page are thickers from Amy Tangerine’s “Finders Keepers” and Dear Lizzy “Saturday” collections.
I really like how the page on the right looks without any pictures, really functioning as a pretty title page. Especially since the left side is so full of color.
Hello my fellow crafty peeps! Have you ever found a photo and did not want to scrap it? Well I did, for years I did not want to scrap the photo below, but I finally decided to do it this time around. It is a photo of my husband and me during our martial art years…Lol. This is just too funny!
I used a few products from the Spiegelmom shop and I even altered a wood veneer! Take a look below.
Here is another close up of the altered title, which I used some AcriTonez in white from the SpiegelMom Shop! I used 2 coats and then I used some stickles to give it some sparkle and some washi tape to keep a straight line while painting on the wood veneer. The white acrylic star is from one of my Felicity Jane kits.
A touch of journaling to give it a short story about the photo.
Here is another close up of those beautiful sequins…you must get these, they are awesome! The mist I used is called Blue Jeans Vibrez and that is also in the Spiegelmom Shop. The rubber embellishment is from my Felicity Jane kit along with the papers.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to get to the Spiegelmom Shop for some goodies of your own. Oh and be sure to use the code Felicia15 to get 15% off your first order! Have a great and marvelous day!
Hello hello! Have you ever done something and then look back on it and ask yourself, “Wow did I really do that?”. Well I have and I probably won’t do it again, but at least I tried it once. What I did was I actually went on a tram that was over 9,000 feet high! Yes, you heard me, 9,000 feet. On the way up it was really beautiful and I was able to get a lot of photos, but on the way down, I got a little motion sickness because of the speed of the tram, which was quicker than going up to the mountain top. It was a great adventure and I have memories from it, but I will not go on a tram for a while. On that note, check out the layout below!
So on this layout I used some Shimmerz spray in Blue Jeans to create the design on the back ground of this layout and a stencil by Prima.
The sequins that I used on this layout are called 2 Cool for U and they in the Spiegelmom Scraps shop and they match perfectly with the colors on the layout. Here’s a close up of the design on the layout. The alphas are from my Felicity Jane kit, Sophia.
Here is a close up of the journaling, which I did diagnaly on the layout for effect.
I used one of my Fiskars punches to create the border strip decoration on the bottom of the layout.
Thank you for joining us here on the Spiegelmom Scraps blog and be sure to check out the shop for more beautiful sequin mixes like this and more. Don’t forget to use the code Felicia15 to get your 15% discount! Have a wonderful day!
Hello hello everyone and welcome to the Spiegelmom Scraps blog! Staying warm and cozy is one of the best things to do during the winter cold months. Food plays even a bigger part of being warm and cozy and some people even call this time of year the season for comfort food. Well since I have been trying my best to stay on a proper diet, I am finding salads to be my comfort food believe it or not, Lol!
Here is the sketch that was created by Sara Scraps and I just love this one! Also be sure to check out the LGS (Let’s Get Sketchy) blog, where they will be using the same sketch!
So here is a layout of my new found comfort food! Salomon salad with a almond flavored vinagerette salad dressing. It was SO GOOD!
This was so fun to create and I used my favorite embellishment! Sequins! Yes these are new sequins called 2 Cool 4 U by the Spiegelmom Scraps. I used them to add more interest to the layout. Here is a closer look.
I also used the Felicia Jane kit for October called Emeline that is where the wood grain hearts came from along with all the papers and puffy stickers.
I just love the combination of the puffy stickers and sequins, they just give this layout such character.
Take a look at those puffy alphas! They work out perfectly for the title of this layout.
Hello! Welcome! I seem o be on the black and white photo kick again. This time I used some black and white elements on the page with just a little pop of color added on along with some black and white papers. Included on this layout, which I think makes the layout is the Wedding Bells sequins by Spiegelmom Scraps. Take a look!
I just love how this turned out! I cut the title and the tag from a cut file from a kit. Once I did that I used some of the rubber embellishments from my kit.
I love how these sequins look on this layout against the black and white paper and embellishments. Versa Fine ink is what I used to stamp the elements on the page including the darker circles.
With the title nestled in with some cut files and rubber embellishments, it helps it stand out with just the right amount of color on the layout.
Then I journaled within the circles that are on the layout.
Thank you for stopping by and be sure to check out the Spiegelmom Scraps shop for the Wedding Bells sequins that I used for this layout, which shows how I put it all together. Also check out the video that I have so you see how it all came together! Take care!
