Hello everyone and welcome to February’s blog hop, aka SpiegelMom’s Scrapbook Skippings! Today is extra special because I’m not only revealing the new sequin mixes for this quarter, but I’m also welcoming most of my new Design Team in their first team blog hop! I say most because the lovely Amy Lee will be leaving us after today. I’m very sad to see her go… but this girl is going many creative places! I’m looking forward to following her creative journey and I wish her all the best!!
As a bonus for today’s blog hop, I’m also giving away THREE prizes this month to some lucky blog-hoppers who comment on all the blogs. You have through February 5th to enter. The prizes include custom 2 notebooks from May Designs, 6×6″ Crate Paper pad with embellishments and huge mystery prize package!! Drooling yet?? Let’s get this scrappy party started! Here are the new sequins this quarter.
Your entire line up for today’s hop is below. Each of the Sparkler’s names is a direct link to their creative blogs.
I decided to create a two page Project Life style spread for you and I really love how it turned out. I like to keep my PL spreads simple, with splashes of embellishments and sparkle. This way, the focus stays on my photos. This summer my husband and I took our three youngest daughters on a fun little photo shoot to our land where we’re currently building our home and around the town where we live. I incorporated a few of my favorite products and created fun sequin pockets along the 2×12″ section of the the WRMK pocket page protectors. I wasn’t sure how I was going to use it, but thought sequins was perfect along with using my Fuse Tool!
See those little foiled hearts in the sequin pockets? Those were foiled using the Heidi Swapp MINC Mini. The starter kit comes with several toner sheets that you can die cut or use with your paper punches. Such an awesome tool to have your scrappy arsenal!! I also created a fun little sequin shaker using a small glassine bag, Hearts on Fire sequins and some lovely black glitter Thickers from Pink Fresh Studio.
Another one of my favorite products are the felt die cuts. Birds of a Feather felt die cuts are such beauties and come in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes. As you can see, I added the white Felt-Fetti Hearts right onto my photos as simple accents. I just used tacky glue to adhere them.
If you’re interested in any of the products or tools I used today, they are linked here: Hearts on Fire Sequins, WRMK Page Protectors, Fuse Tool, White Felt Fetti Hearts, Silver Stardust Sequins, Cloudy Days Felties, Heidi Swapp MINC Mini, Bird of a Feather Die Cuts and papers & stickers by Allison Kreft for Webster’s Pages, wood veneer by Heidi Swapp. If you poke around one of the Sparkler’s blogs or Instagram accounts, I’m sure you’ll find their discount codes..hint hint 🙂

Now, you’ll be heading over to Laura’s blog where she’s sure to knock your creative socks right off!!! She always inspires me for sure. Happy hopping 🙂
