Make It Yours Monday~ Sweet Everyday Moments

Hello Scrappy Friends and welcome back for another Make It Yours Monday! This week, we are being inspired by our October Guest Designer, Kelly Barron!!  I was drawn to this beautiful, soft layout she created for Citrus Twist.Hello Scrappy Friends and welcome back for another Make It Yours Monday! This week, we are being inspired by our October Guest Designer, Kelly Barron!!

I began my layout with a piece of white cardstock trimmed down a 1/4″ all around and Tutti Frutti Dazzlerz. I used a stiff bristle brush and the dazzlerz as paint. The bristles of the brush in the texture paste created a great, textured brushstroke look.

While the dazzlerz were drying, I matted my photo on 2 patterned papers, one in a pink and the other in a blue, to tie in the colors in the photo. I added a delicate doily to the back  for some more texture.  I layered strips of pink floral and blue polka dotted papers for the right hand side of the page.

When the dazzlerz were dry, the photo was adhered with foam tape to the center of the painted area. I chose some floral ephemera and layered them around the bottom of the picture. popping some up on foam tape as well.  I layered a tag and other ephemera pieces under the photo as additional layers, and a Blessed banner to the top left corner. Tiny tile stickers and more ephemera pieces created my title.

I created another cluster in the bottom right corner with the camera and floral pieces and added a tiny word sticker. The Morning Glow sequin mix was the perfect mix to add the right about of sparkle and shine to the page. I matted the entire layout on a light pink cardstock and stitched around the edges. My journaling fit perfectly in the flower clusters under the photo and all that was left was some splatters. I used Razzledazzle Berry and Blue Jeans Vibez  to create them and I was finished!

I also have a process video for todays layout, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRPshui76_U

Thank you so much for joining me today and dont forget to stop by the shop for some of these amazing products!!  And as always,

Scrappy Saturday-Fall Fave

Good morning everyone!! Sarah here this morning sharing a new layout with you that I scrap lifted from the lovely Kelly Barron. And this is the layout that I chose to use.For my layout, I decided that I would flip the layout where the picture was over on the left side because in my picture my hubby is looking towards the right.

I pulled out Oakley Avenue, a fall collection from Pretty little Studios. I thought it went perfect with the photo and the pretty Ferris Wheel sequins and the Just Beachin it sequins went perfectly with this collection!

I started my layout by piecing together the layers of paper behind the photo to get that cluster going. I wanted to make sure I had a place to journal, I knew Kelly had used a card with a little camera on it, so I decided to make that a journaling spot on my layout. This was a fall layout, so I thought it would look good with some leaves on it, so I cut out a few with my Silhouette and tucked them in here and there and instead of scallops on the side of the photo layers I use some of the arrow stickers from this collection.

I added two paper strips to the bottom and top like Kelly did and then started to add embellishments there too. I added a little cut apart at the top that says Feeling Fallish, I cut out a few little leafs from one of the papers in the collection and added those tucked in too along with some stickers.

I moved to the bottom of the layout and tucked in a few more leafs and started on one of my favorite parts…. Adding the bling!! I added a mix of the two sequin sets from the bottom left up to the top right and that finished my layout for me!

I hope you enjoyed this layout and remember if your looking to get some more sequins added to your scrappy stash, mention my name in the comment section during check out and get an extra 15% off your order!! Happy Scrapping!!

Scrapbooking with Karla – Scraplifting Jenn Gagne!

Happy Thursday!! Karla back today with a scrappy springtime layout. This week we are scraplifting our awesome Guest Designer Jenn Gagne. Be sure to check out Tuesday’s blog post where she shared an amazing traveler’s notebook project! I’ve decided to use her beautiful Easter layout as inspiration for my scrapbook project today. I just loved the pretty colours and those gorgeous doilies, and I knew this would be a perfect layout to add the On Pointe, Aquarius, Morning Glow and Painted Gardens Sequin Mixes! Here’s a look at Jenn’s layout:

Layout by Jenn Gagne

I picked up a lovely PhotoPlay collection over the weekend and I couldn’t wait to use the springtime papers included. I’m really impressed with the PhotoPlay papers I’m seeing! I started off by adding Distress Oxide Inks to my splat mat and spritzing with Tattered Angels Iridescent Gold Mist. I put the white doilies directly onto the inky mist and pulled them through it to add some shimmery watercolour. I used 3 different colours for the doilies and then dried them with a heat gun.

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @rangerink @timholtz @kaezmum @photoplay @canvascorpbrands @tatteredangels #sequins #smssequins #scrapbooking #stamping #watercolor #mixedmedia #distressoxideink #tatteredangels #misting #butterflies #springtime #patternedpaper #scrapbooksupplies

I used the same inky mists to add some watercolours and splats directly to my white cardstock background before laying down the doilies and then adding my photo matted with the pretty PhotoPlay papers.

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @rangerink @timholtz @kaezmum @photoplay @canvascorpbrands @tatteredangels #sequins #smssequins #scrapbooking #stamping #watercolor #mixedmedia #distressoxideink #tatteredangels #misting #butterflies #springtime #patternedpaper #scrapbooksupplies

I stamped some butterflies, words and scrolls on the background with Distress Oxide Inks and then added some flowers, gems and more butterflies popped up with foam dots to give the layout some more dimension. Then, of course, the fun part – adding the sequins!! This just makes the layout come alive!

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @rangerink @timholtz @kaezmum @photoplay @canvascorpbrands @tatteredangels #sequins #smssequins #scrapbooking #stamping #watercolor #mixedmedia #distressoxideink #tatteredangels #misting #butterflies #springtime #patternedpaper #scrapbooksupplies

Here’s a look at all the beautiful sequins I used today – On Pointe, Aquarius, Morning Glow and Painted Gardens! I loved how all these gorgeous colours worked with this pretty springtime layout <3

Make it Yours Monday~Love Fall

Hello my crafty friends and welcome back to another Make it yours Monday! This week, we are being inspired by our fabulous guest designer for the month, Jenn Gagne! As soon as I saw this layout of hers, I knew it was my inspiration piece! I love the circle element as well as the little corner accents to add some interest to the page!!! .

To begin, I took a piece of vanilla cardstock and misted it with Shimmerz Sunset Strip Vibes, Tattered Angels Pumpkin Spice and Chili mists and then took my art rag and rubbed them together to create the slightly ombre/blended background.

No automatic alt text available.

I placed my photo next, so it could help aid the placement of all the other elements later on. I added a torn piece of navy blue and gold glitter cardstocks as my photo mat. They complimented the colors in the photo so well!!  I also did my title next, so I could place it exactly where I wanted it, and could work around it with the embellishments later on.

Image may contain: shoes

No automatic alt text available.

My favorite part was creating the leaves, using one of the new, FREE cut files available in the shop, Lovely Leaves. I used my Brother Scan N Cut and several pieces of fall colored cardstocks to cut out multiples of each leaf design, and then used my versamarker and embossing powders to add details to the large ones and my favorite glue in my fineline bottle and glitter for the smaller leaf details. No automatic alt text available.

I situated the leaves around the page to mimick the circle element of Jenn’s layout, and added some of the newest sequin mixes in the shop, Aquarius and Peachy Keeny, to add even more dimension and texture as well as great pops of color!!

No automatic alt text available.

I added a few of the smaller leaves around my photo and my journaling to the left of the title, just under the photo.

Image may contain: text

To finish my page, I added some splatters to the leaf ring around the page, using the same colors I used for the background, as well as some Navy color shine. I mounted the entire layout on a piece of soft orange cardstock and added a doodle-y boarder around the edge to add some definition.No automatic alt text available.

A few strips of nave and gold cardstocks to the top left and bottom right corner & the date finished off my fall wreath layout.

I got really excited when I saw the finished page!! It’s probably one of my most favorite layouts in a LONG time!! I hope you enjoyed my process and layout today and will stop by the shop for some of these amazing products!!!! When you do,

Sticky Fun Summer, a Jen Schow Scraplift!

Hey! Ali here, super excited to share this layout with you guys. We are all scraplifting Jen Schow this week! How fun! Complete transparency, I listen to the Scrap Gals, and I have heard of Jen, but I hadn’t seen a lot of her layouts. But after this scraplift I am a huge fan, I (admittedly) stalked her Instagram for days trying to decide on a layout-there were so many fun ones to choose from! Ultimately I went with this awesome Halloween layout! For my layout I wanted to do a similar three word title, and I knew just the photos I wanted to use! Love these sticky little faces! After that I decided instead of stars (like in the original) I would use popsicles. Paper Issues has a great cut file with a cute little popsicle that fit perfectly with my theme. For some of the cut outs I used patterned paper. But for others I pulled out my trusty Fuse Tool! That’s right, I am using it again! Woohoo! I used the amazing Girly Glitter Sequin mix for my popsicles (and scattered about)! They also paired really nicely with the Echo Park Summer Dreams Collection (which is quite dreamy!).

The popsicles weren’t cutting it on their own (no pun intended) so I also added some simple suns. With a bit of layering and some stitching here and there I added my photos and boom! Finished! I love doing big cut file titles, the rest of the layout seems to create itself after that!

Here is a little close up of those shaker popsicles. I am a sucker for shakers!

Sorry for the brief post, I really hope you enjoyed it, but I am in Texas and the weather is looking a little sketchy right now! Hope you all are somewhere safe and dry! But if you’re like me, stuck inside, why not shop online a bit? Happy Sunday, y’all!

Adventure, Shimelle Scraplift!

Hey y’all, Ali here! Super excited to scraplift another lovely scrapper this week. You may have noticed, the Sparklers are highlighting Shimelle! I love all of her layouts, so it was really hard to choose what to scraplift. I eventually decided on this fun layout!

 I was immediately drawn to the enamel dots down the center, and I knew replacing those with sequins would be awesome! I decided on my photos, my son at Mount Rushmore (and all of his excitement!). But my photos were vertical and Shimelle’s layout uses horizontal photos. So I flipped it! And I love the way it turned out.

Obviously, scraplifting Shimelle, I felt drawn to all of the Shimelle goodies. Go Now Go and True Stories were a perfect mix to tell the story of my son and his adventure to Mount Rushmore. I also added some washi tape and a few of the Cork Confetti Hearts.

**let us take a moment to discuss cork…if you haven’t already heard, cork and felt are on their way out of the shop. It is unfortunate, because who doesn’t love the cork and felt embellishments? But sadly, they must retire. Stock up now, before it’s too late!!!!**

Finishing the layout off with some Gone With The Wind sequins, and voila! Finished! One thing I absolutely adore about Shimelle’s layouts are how quick and simple they are, while paying attention to all of those important details. Also, by using patterned paper as a background, they always look so detailed and intricate!

Since this scraplift, I have been more inclined to reach for the patterned paper instead of my white cardstock, and I just love that a simple scraplift can change a point of view or style! So if you haven’t already, I highly recommend picking your favorite Shimelle layout and scraplifting (don’t forget the sequins!).

Scrappy Friday – Shimelle Scraplift

Hello Creatives!

This Scrappy Friday is about scraplifting a scrapper, who, once again is amonst my favorites : Shimelle.

Here is the page I’ve chosen:

What I particularly liked about it was the large photo and the different embellishments from top to bottom.

I first tried to use the same kind of paper for my background, and of course decided to scrap a large photo as well.

Then, I splattered different kinds of embellishments from top to bottom, amongst them the cork stars and felt clouds from Spiegelmom Scraps shop.

Here are some sneaks:

What about you? Have you ever scrapped a large picture? Do you like to do so?

See you next week for another Scrappy Friday!

Christine

Scrapbooking with Karla – Scraplifting Shimelle!

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @shimelle @karlayungwirth @americancrafts #spiegelmomscraps #sequins #scrapbooking #scraplifting #shimelle #memorykeeping #truestories #starshine #embellishments #papercrafting

Hi, Karla here today! This week we’re scraplifting Shimelle Laine! She is one of my favourite scrapbookers, who has had such an amazing influence in the world of scrapbooking. From Two Peas to Glitter Girl, she’s helped break down the ‘rules’ of scrapbooking and help us understand why things work and how to do them. Here’s a look at Shimelle’s layout that I chose to scraplift-

@shimelle
Layout by Shimelle Laine

I didn’t have the new Glitter Girl collection that Shimelle used, but I did have two other of her collections – True Stories and Starshine, so I decided to use the papers and stickers from those to create my layout along with the Star Spangled, Honor Guard and Hey Kiddo sequin mixes.

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @shimelle @karlayungwirth @americancrafts #spiegelmomscraps #sequins #scrapbooking #scraplifting #shimelle #memorykeeping #truestories #starshine #embellishments #papercrafting

I love the paper layers, and for anyone who struggles to create layers to frame a photo this is a good way to get started on how to do it – by following someone else’s layout.

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @shimelle @karlayungwirth @americancrafts #spiegelmomscraps #sequins #scrapbooking #scraplifting #shimelle #memorykeeping #truestories #starshine #embellishments #papercrafting

I love the blue star sequins in the Honor Guard sequin mix! Even though there are pinks in the photo and some on the papers, I chose to focus on the primary colours. I even used the round camera lenses as a place to add some sequin details for a more subtle, but fun effect.

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @shimelle @karlayungwirth @americancrafts #spiegelmomscraps #sequins #scrapbooking #scraplifting #shimelle #memorykeeping #truestories #starshine #embellishments #papercrafting

I love adding different textures together, such as the Tim Holtz sentiment sticker, the star chipboard sticker, the banner cut paper sentiment and the clear sticker popped up on foam dots together with the different sizes and colours of sequins!  They all look cohesive, but your eye has lots of different things to look at.

@jodyspiegelhoff @spiegelmomscraps @shimelle @karlayungwirth @americancrafts #spiegelmomscraps #sequins #scrapbooking #scraplifting #shimelle #memorykeeping #truestories #starshine #embellishments #papercrafting

Here’s a look at the sequin mixes I used today – Star Spangled, Honor Guard and Hey Kiddo!

Scrappy Saturday-Being Weird

Good morning ladies!!

I hope your enjoying your weekend so far!! This is our last weekend before the kiddos go back to school and oh man we have a lot going on! We have our oldest sons 1st football game of the season, our youngest is turning one!!! Omg! And making sure everything is together for school Monday. And in there some where I want to try and find some more time to scrap!! lol

But on to the actually layout I came to share with you this morning. Lol This week over on the Spiegelmomscraps blog were scraplifting the fantastic Katty Miranda!

Here is the layout I chose to scraplift of hers:

To start my layout I pulled out a few of my favorite shimmerz and played with the packaging technique on the background. Mine is no where near as bright as Katty’s but I loved the way the colors blended together and went with the Create Paper  Confetti collection that I had decided to use. I know I could have made them stand out more but I decided to not use gesso on the background and keep it a but lighter.

I wanted to scrap this goofy picture of me and my hubby playing with one of the Snapchat filters. I have a lot of these kind of pictures! Me and my kiddos play with it all the time too! lol I layered a few papers behind my picture and then moved on to embellishing.

I wanted to add a lot of embellishments like Katty had, but I didn’t want to use so many flowers since this was just a goofy pic of me and my hubby. I mean dont get me wrong I could have easily used flowers, but I wanted to use some of the pointed circles that were in the collection already. But I did add a few flowers in there too!

After adding the paper embellishments in there and getting them where I wanted them, I stuck them down and started playing with some of the chipboard pieces and other 3D embellishments. And pulled out my cute little Shooting cork stars and layered them in where I wanted them.

I always save the best for last! I pulled out one of my favorite sequin packs right now, Fairy Garden. I love playing with my sequins! lol I added those beautiful little shiny pops of color here and there on my layout and was done.

I loved scraplifting Katty this week, I had fun with it! And I hope your liked my take on Katty’s layout!!

And remember if your looking for some pretty shinys to add to your stash, make sure to head to the SpiegleMomscraps store and use my name to get 15% off!!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!

Beautiful Easter Together, Scraplifting Kat Benjamin!

Hey y’all, Ali here! Happy August! I am so excited about this month, the Sparklers are scraplifting some super talented ladies this month. This week we are kicking it off with Kat Benjamin! She is such a sweet person and her layouts always pop! I have actually wanted to scraplift this layout since the first time I saw it, but I never got around to it! So I finally did it, woohoo!!

I loved the composition of her layout, so I really wanted to stay true to that. I started with some acrylic paints and just brushed it onto the white cardstock with a dry brush and minimal paint to create that really fun messy look. When that dried, I added some Peach Fuzz Paste-Eez through a geometric stencil to add dimension and texture…a few strips of washi tape finished off my background. I was shocked at how quickly this layout came together.

I backed my photos with some patterned paper, created the little “Easter” tag, and added my title. My finishing touches are always the super fun sequins (of course)! So I sprinkled some “What’s Up Buttercup” sequin mix throughout. The thing I love most about this mix are those adorable little flowers! They really scream Spring, and were perfect for my Easter layout!

Processed with MOLDIV

This layout was a bit outside of my “box” but I absolutely love how Kat’s layout inspired me to get a little messy and the outcome is so fun and Easter-y! I hope you love it too!

Grab you sequin mixes and shimmerz products from the store and don’t forget to save some $$$!!

Scrappy Saturday-Bath time baby

Good morning everyone and welcome to Scrappy Saturday!!!

This month were having fun with some scrap lifting and I was so excited about this! This week were scrap lifting the great Kat Benjamin! It was so hard for me to choose one layout, I went through and saved a ton, just like with all the others and then went back through and eliminated them as I went, lol, so hard!

Here is the layout of Kats that I finally decided to scrap lift.

And here is my scrap lift of it!

I loved the layout and knew what picture I wanted to use, along with what collection! I still had some of my  Story Time kit left from The Fairytale Club and the colors and the cute little mermaids were just perfect along with the beautiful sea shell sequins!

I went through and chose what papers I was going to use and pulled out one of my planner dashboards and fussy cut that beautiful little mermaid out.

I arranged all my papers like Kat had arranged hers and then went to pulling out my clear sheets and sewing them down to the long rectangle at the back of my layering and up on my corner. I chose to go with my clear sheets instead of vellum because I wanted to be able to see the patterned paper behind them still after I got the sequins added in.

I left a small space open and poured my sequins in. I used a mix of different sequins, I love that you can mix and match them and they still go so well together! I used some from Black Tie event, Sparkle Power, Sweet Summer Vibes, Bold Stardust and 2 of the min sequin packs, the blue and purple shells. Everything went together so perfectly! I was so happy with it. Kats layout was amazing and I had so much fun playing along and putting my twist on one of her beautiful layouts!

If your looking at adding some great little sparklies to you scrappy stash, make sure to use my code when you go to the shop and get an extra 15% off your order!

Scrapbooking with Karla – Paper Layering Scraplift

Hello friends! Karla here today with another scrapbook page following along with our Scraplift theme – and this week it’s the amazing Kat Benjamin or KraftyKat as she’s also known! I love her clean style, and I love how she coordinates the products she’s using! She also makes awesome pocket pages <3

I decided to scraplift Kat’s page Hey Handsome – here’s a look at it:@katbenjamin @kraftykat9

I really liked the layers of paper she used and the striking black title, so even though I went with a totally different colour scheme I followed the basic layout. I really love scraplifting – I think it makes you try different ideas and styles that you might not otherwise, and you just might find something you love! I chose an older collection I had in my stash – Jubilee by My Mind’s Eye and the awesome NEW sequin mixes from the SpiegelMom Scraps Store: Star Spangled, Girly Glitter and Ferris Wheel!

@spiegelmomscraps @jodyspiegelhoff @mymindseyeinc @katbenjamin #spiegelmomscraps #smssequins #sequinlove #kraftykat9 #katbenjamin #scraplift #mymindseyeinc #scrapbooklayout #12x12 #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping #journaling #cleanandsimple

I used a 1″ circle punch to cut out coordinating papers and placed them on in a similar way to Kat’s page. I even pop-dotted one to give it a little extra dimension. I pulled colours from my photo and paper when choosing the sequins and I grouped them around each circle.

@spiegelmomscraps @jodyspiegelhoff @mymindseyeinc @katbenjamin #spiegelmomscraps #smssequins #sequinlove #kraftykat9 #katbenjamin #scraplift #mymindseyeinc #scrapbooklayout #12x12 #scrapbooking #papercrafting #memorykeeping #journaling #cleanandsimple

I really liked the black title on Kat’s page, so I decided to use one of the acetate overlays from this collection, backed by a piece of patterned paper. I added a strip of the arrow paper to add some colour above the title and used a chipboard sentiment to add dimension. A few more sequins above and below the title follow Kat’s layout, and I added my journaling by first penciling in straight lines and writing with a Faber Castel pen.

Here’s a look at the new sequin mixes I used today – Star Spangled, Girly Glitter and Ferris Wheel! The names of these mixes just make me happy!!

Tea Party with Ali

Hey y’all, Ali here! As you may have noticed, the Sparklers are all scraplifting Missy Whidden this week! I had so much fun with the last one I made that I was so excited to try again. Seriously, Missy’s layouts are so hard to replicate but they are filled with so much inspiration! I really loved this original (obviously, I pretty much love everything she does!).

Just like last week, I really wanted to take the “bones” of the layout and make it my own! This layout is really near and dear to my heart. I have been wanting to start scrapping my own childhood and this photo of my great grandmother and myself having a tea party has been at the top of my list. Do you ever have photos you are almost afraid to scrapbook? I really wanted to do it justice, so I have been putting it off for a long time. When I saw Missy’s layout I knew this would be a great starting point for this treasured photo.

I started with a combination of older lines, Fancy Free and Open Book. I really love the pale pink and coral colors with a pop of bright colors here and there. Plus the spine of the “book” in that Maggie Holmes paper was too perfect not to (finally) utilize! When I was finished placing my patterned papers I added the stitching and then got to work fussy cutting some florals! I went light with the mixed media, simply scraping some gorgeous Peach Fuzz Paste-eez through a star stencil. I finished it of with a sprinkling of Pink Parade, this sequin mix is so fun and pretty it makes me squeal a little bit (but not too loud because I typically scrap when my kids are asleep!).

I think this layout really captures this sweet moment, and it makes me smile to know it is documented.

Here is a little close up of those fabulous sequins and that gorgeous paste-eez. I am going to be really transparent for a second…mixed media scares me. Every.Single.Time. Sometimes I make backgrounds and I throw them away because they are terrible. I haven’t had a lot of experience with texture paste and what not, because as I mentioned before…it SCARES ME! So, I put that aside to give the paste-eez a try and WHOA! This stuff is so easy to use, the colors are fantastic, and I love love love the added dimension and interest just a little bit can add to a layout! So fun! And totally not scary (anymore!).

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend, if you are Sunday shopping…that is my favorite day to shop…be sure to save some money!

Scrappy Friday – Missy Whidden Scraplift

Hello Creatives!

Here I am with the 4th Scrappy friday of the month. I usually only do 3, but because the challenges were so fun, and the fact that I am on holidays, here I am for a fourth one!!!

But, to be perfectly honest, the truth is…. How could I miss the opportunity to scraplift a scrapper I totally admire?

As you probably know, the challenge is to scraplift Missy Whidden this week!

Here is the page I’ve chosen :

What I particularly liked in this page is the background, made of different paper strips, the different layers, the frames, the embellishments and the different words and phrases. Well, I confess…I like every single bits of that page LOL!

What I knew from the beginning to be impossible for me was to add some stitching to the page, as you probably know by now, I’m totally hopeless at it!

However, I’ve come up with a page which is quite different from the original, but which includes the elements I’ve listed above:

Instead of using strips of paper, I used some washi tape strips. and I framed my pic’. I also tried to add some volume and layers, as well as some embellishments (paper clips, perspextives, flairs and Spiegelmom Scraps felt and cork stars and clouds)

I then added some words and phrases, using either stickers or stamps.

It was such a pleasure to scraplift such a talented scrapper! Have YOU tried to play along with us this week?

See you next Friday for another Scrappy Friday!

Christine

Mixed Media With Karla – Keepin’ It Real Scraplift

Hi friends! Karla here today with a fun Mixed Media layout! Our theme this week is to scraplift the infamous Missy Whidden! She is so amazingly talented – I was a little intimidated to even attempt this!!

Here’s a look at Missy’s awesome scrapbook layout. You can check it out on Instagram HERE or watch her YouTube process video HERE.

I loved the mixed media circles she layered on, so I decided to try my Distress Paints using the same technique she showed in her video with the Shimmerz Paste-eez (which you can find in the SpiegelMom Scraps Store!!) It was fun to try a few new techniques and step outside my comfort zone! I think that’s important for everyone to do once in a while. I even decided to post a crazy face photo, and this Keepin’ It Real sticker from the Pink Paislee Take Me Away collection was the perfect title 😉 and the bright sequins from the Jaded HeartsNeon Summer and Gotta Love Emoji’s mixes were just the right pop!

@spiegelmomscraps @jodyspiegelhoff @rangerink @timholtz @dylusions @americancrafts @pinkpaislee @paigeevans @missywhidden #mixedmedia #scrapbooking #scraplifting #rangerink #timholtz #dylusions #distresspaint #missywhidden #sillyfaces #keepinitreal #smssequins #sequins

I used some Dylusions mists on my background, spraying on a piece of acetate and smooshing it onto my background in blue, green and purple colours. It was great to get them out of the drawer! Since my photos were very neutral I felt like it was the perfect opportunity to use lots of background colours.

@spiegelmomscraps @jodyspiegelhoff @rangerink @timholtz @dylusions @americancrafts @pinkpaislee @paigeevans @missywhidden #mixedmedia #scrapbooking #scraplifting #rangerink #timholtz #dylusions #distresspaint #missywhidden #sillyfaces #keepinitreal #smssequins #sequins

I used some Shimelle Starshine stickers and added a bit of thread under my handcut paint blobs. After I first layered on the thread, I realized I had it in too much of a perfect circle, lol, so I had to mess it up a bit!

@spiegelmomscraps @jodyspiegelhoff @rangerink @timholtz @dylusions @americancrafts @pinkpaislee @paigeevans @missywhidden #mixedmedia #scrapbooking #scraplifting #rangerink #timholtz #dylusions #distresspaint #missywhidden #sillyfaces #keepinitreal #smssequins #sequins

I layered my photos on some Hazel & Ruby printed tissue paper from my stash and then on top of some plain green tissue paper. I love the bit of texture that gives, and I popped up a few of the paint dabs to give some dimension.
